Seville, Andalucía’s alluring capital is one of our favourite destinations; a city rich in culture, history, architecture, and fine cuisine.
Quimera Restaurant landed on the city’s gastronomy scene a year ago, as part of the reimagined Melía Sevilla Hotel.
The property is found in the ‘el Porvenir’ neighbourhood, close to the architectural masterpiece of the Plaza de España.
The restaurant offers a seasonal menu, focusing on regional ingredients. Many dishes are prepared in a Josper charcoal oven, adding a barbecue-like flavour that suits much of the regional produce from seafood, fish and meats.
To celebrate the restaurant’s first anniversary, Quimera has launched a special menu highlighting the season’s new menu – available until 24th February.
Starters include a duck salad with fresh pear chutney, pineapple, ginger & lime; or a salmon salad with avocado, wakame seaweed served on a classic olive oil ‘torta’.
The choice of main dishes includes corvina white fish, prepared in the Josper charcoal oven, served with apple; or Andalusian Retinta sirloin steak, again prepared on the charcoal grill, served with season vegetables.
The pudding is Quimera’s popular ‘Postre Picasso’.
The anniversary Quimera menu is priced at 42 euro.
Quimera Pool & Food
If you’re planning a visit to Seville later in the year, then the Quimera Pool & Food bar will be open from spring to autumn, offering gourmet light bites, and cocktails – it’s a great spot to enjoy the sunset over the Plaza de España.
