Drinks by the Dram, has revealed its most exclusive festive release to date, The Very Old & Rare Whisky Collection 2025, a £9,995 advent calendar featuring 24 of the world’s most sought-after whiskies.
Designed for discerning collectors and whisky connoisseurs, this limited-edition calendar showcases miniature 30ml drams from iconic producers, including The Macallan, Port Ellen, Karuizawa, Highland Park, and Yamazaki. Each sample has been individually wax-sealed by hand, offering a tasting experience that money alone can rarely buy.
The whiskies are housed within a handcrafted black oak and walnut cabinet by British artisan Simon Jewell. Inspired by vintage apothecary chests, the design features suede linings, engraved stainless-steel details, a moleskin dust cover, and a drawer containing tasting notes, a personal letter from Dr Sam Simmons (Head of Whisky at Master of Malt), and two Riedel glasses for enjoying each pour.
Among the 24 drams are some truly remarkable releases: the Balvenie 40 Year Old, Glenfarclas 1958 Cask 2061 (one of only 130 bottles), Karuizawa Five Decades, Glenfarclas 60 Year Old, and the legendary Yamazaki Sherry Cask 2012.
