Nestled in the heart of Anacapri, the Capri Palace Jumeirah is the perfect place from which to explore the island of Capri. Affiliated with The Leading Hotels of the World, the Capri Palace is a luxurious escape from the busy island. Boasting a gorgeous outdoor pool and beach club, two Michelin star restaurant, a world renowned medical spa, and close proximity to some of Capri’s popular sights, the hotel is impressive in every way.
Capri Palace is in the very centre of Anacapri, in the northwest of the island. It is slightly quieter and more laidback than the city itself, though guests are perfectly placed to visit the Blue Grotto and Monte Solaro. However, Capri’s petite size means that the whole island is accessible by car, and. visitors do not have to limit themselves to seeing only one area.
Couples or families.
The hotel is beautifully sleek, with monochrome interiors accented by a wonderfully bizarre array of kitschy decorations (think cows in tuxedos) and classical, Romanesque statues. It’s simultaneously modern and fun, yet timeless too.
Rooms and Suites
There 68 rooms, including 19 suites, some of which have private pools and terraces,
and all of which include cool, marble bathrooms with large bathtubs, are split into four categories: Classic, Superior (which all have Mediterranean themed décor), Deluxe (classically elegant, with colonial style ceiling fans and traditional fittings) and the Suites. For art connoisseurs, there are suites paying homage to great 20th century artists, whilst the palatial Presidential Paltrow suite combines art deco geometric forms with a modern twist.
Food and Drink Facilities
L’Olivo, Capri’s only two Michelin-starred restaurant, serves breakfast and dinner every day. Offering Mediterranean cuisine under the direction of chef Andrea Migliaccio, L’Olivo places the spotlight on local, seasonal ingredients. For lunch, the Ragù bistro is up on the terrace, with panoramic views of the Gulf of Naples. Alternatively, Il Riccio Beach Club, and in-house restaurant is a short drive away. Also on the terrace is the hotel’s bar, Bar degli Artisti, where guests can unwind, accompanied by live music. Note the particularly impressive selection of 210 gins and 30 tonics, allowing you to create your perfect G&T.
In addition to some of the room’s own private pools, there is a large outdoor pool and private transfers to Il Riccio Beach Club and Restaurant, a short drive away. The hotel’s award-winning medical spa, Capri Beauty Farm is one of Capri Palace’s most unique assets. It includes a state of the art fitness centre, and offers an impressive range of treatments at the hands of doctors, dieticians, therapists and beauticians, such as weight loss programmes and nutrition consultations. Most original is the ‘Leg School’, which promises to prevent cellulite and boost metabolic rates by improving circulation and lymphatic microcirculation. All of this is on offer in addition to more traditional treatments, and various cosmetic procedures.
Monte Solaro, Villa San Michele, and the amazing Blue Grotto are both within walking distance, whilst a short drive will bring you into the centre of Capri, with attractions such as the Villa di Tiberio.
