Fingal is a truly unique ship, previously a Northern Lighthouse Board tender, helping maintain lighthouses and transporting their keepers, equipment and supplies to some of the most treacherous locations in Scotland.
Fingal has now been transformed into a 23 cabin boutique hotel and exclusive use venue by the award-winning team at The Royal Yacht Britannia.
Location
Just two miles from Edinburgh’s city centre, Fingal is berthed in the historic Port of Leith. The lively district of Leith is a mixture of delightful waterfront cafes, restaurants, quirky shops and markets.

Rooms and Suites
Each named after Stevenson lighthouses, the 23 luxurious cabins are inspired by Fingal’s rich maritime heritage and are an indulgent experience like no other, your own private sanctuary. Little details such as a headboards with map contours, Davy lamps and heavy brass taps, make for a stay that will continue to inspire, long after you’ve left.
The magnificent Skerryvore Suite, offers its own separate sitting room, with the option of dining in the suite, and its own private deck.
Food and Drink
The Lighthouse Restaurant & Bar has a relaxed, luxurious feel with vast floor to ceiling windows.
Overnight guests and non-residents can enjoy a five-course Afternoon Tea, dinner of sensational seasonal dishes, created by the onboard chefs, and spectacular nautical-inspired cocktails under a shimmering ceiling.
The elegant ballroom, with two grand sweeping staircases, can seat up to 60 people for an exclusive dinner.

Fingal’s sister ship, The Royal Yacht Britannia is just moments away. Following 40 years of Royal service, Her Majesty The Queen’s former royal residence now welcomes visitors from all over the world with audio guided tours, available in 30 languages.
Also, within walking distance from Fingal you’ll find a collection of independent, inspirational shops, including textile and design company, Araminta Campbell Ltd, which specialises in handwoven alpaca accessories including scarves, shawls, wraps and cushions.
