The original manor house includes 18 bedrooms with a further 8 suites situated in the garden lodge. The Master Suite is a showstopping and spacious treat, with a large lounge, two entrances and guest facilities as well as an impressive bathroom with double shower. All garden lodge rooms feature a large terrace or balcony overlooking the gardens and the distant hills of the Ribble Valley.
Food and Drink
Executive celebrity chef Lisa Goodwin-Allen carefully chooses produce from trusted suppliers for her modern take on classic dishes, which she creates with exacting precision and harmonious flavours. Showstopping presentation and incredible flavours make the impressive dishes a feast for the eyes and the palate. The 5 course gourmet menu takes diners on a culinary journey of flavour and colour. The accompanying wine list is created by the Sommelier team along with the hotel’s managing director and one of the country’s leading wine experts Craig Bancroft. Facilities and Activities
For the outdoor types, there are many walking and cycling routes nearby – Northcote even has its own bikes which can be provided during your stay along with route suggestions. For those keen on shopping, Manchester and Liverpool can be reached by train or car, and the Trafford Centre is 40 minutes’ drive.
The market town of Clitheroe has streets lined with independent shops as Clitheroe Castle looms in their backdrop. A short drive away the impressive façade of Stonyhurst College stands in Hurst Green. This is said to have provided JRR Tolkein with the inspiration to write parts of Lord of the Rings there while his son was studying at the college. Pendle Hill is an imposing view from much of the Ribble Valley and is where the infamous Witch Trials took place.
