This western Austrian city has been the capital of Tyrol since 1429, and, having twice hosted the winter Olympics (in 1964 and 1976), has become synonymous with snow sports. There are many fantastic ski resorts and lots of lively apres nightlife close by (you’ll have no problem finding a party).
