Hermitage Cognac

Hermitage Cognac, a Statement of Sophistication and Legacy

Hermitage Cognac was founded in 1990 by David Baker, a cognac specialist known for sourcing vintage and age-statement cognacs. The company is based in Bradford-on-Avon, Wiltshire, and focuses exclusively on rare cognacs from the Grande Champagne region, the Premier Cru of Cognac.

Recognised for its emphasis on heritage and transparency, each release by Hermitage Cognac is clearly labelled with an age or vintage statement and accompanied by provenance documentation. This approach distinguishes Hermitage Cognac in an industry where blended cognacs without declared ages are more common.

The range includes cognacs aged for several decades, with some dating back to the 19th century. One of the most notable bottlings is the Hermitage Siècle d’Or 100-Year-Old Cognac, presented in a Cumbria crystal decanter. Other releases include the Paradis Collection, which features vintages from the late 1800s, and a series of cognacs aged from 20 to 70 years.

Hermitage Cognac has received recognition at the International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC), earning medals for several expressions including a Gold medal for the Hermitage 1995 Grande Champagne Cognac in this year’s IWSC awards.
