Kimpton Debuts in the Middle East with the Opening of Kimpton KAFD Riyadh

Kimpton has opened its first Middle Eastern hotel in Riyadh, with Kimpton KAFD Riyadh bringing the brand’s design-led approach to the King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD). Part of IHG Hotels & Resorts’ luxury and lifestyle portfolio, the new property introduces Kimpton’s focus on creativity, sociability and thoughtful service to the Saudi capital.

Spread across 16 floors, the hotel features 212 rooms and suites, four restaurants and lounges, a health club, an outdoor pool deck and flexible meeting and event spaces. The interiors balance contemporary elegance with the characterful touches Kimpton is known for, creating spaces that encourage both work and social connection.

Dining is central to the concept, with each venue designed as a distinct destination. Botanica is a leafy café that shifts from bright breakfasts to relaxed lunches. Ziya, set in a golden-hued lounge, offers artisanal pastries and botanical drinks. Kanza is a poolside retreat with a menu designed for sharing, while The Vinyl Ember combines open-flame cooking with a vinyl-inspired soundtrack in a moody, intimate setting.

The hotel’s location is equally significant. KAFD is Riyadh’s flagship commercial and lifestyle hub, designed as a walkable “10-minute city” with skybridges, international restaurants, high-end retail and direct metro links. For both business and leisure guests, Kimpton KAFD Riyadh provides an address that connects seamlessly to the wider city.
