Taking its name from the founder (William Balser Skirvin, known as Bill), The Skirvin dates back over a century. Over time, it has risen from ten storeys to 14, with 500 bedrooms and lashings of old-world glamour. Wood panelling, chandelier lighting, art deco lanterns, gilt mirrors and a rich colour palette are found in the public rooms, while bedrooms take on more muted tones conducive to sleep. Guests can spend evenings listening to live music in the refined Red Piano Lounge and dine on upscale US cuisine in the Park Avenue Grill.
