Hilton’s LXR Collection

The Biltmore Mayfair is part of Hilton’s LXR Collection (explore the full collection here.). Grosvenor Square has a long and rich history testament to this is the statue of Franklin D. Roosevelt in the centre of the square. Many notable American and British dignitaries have stayed in the building in the last 100 years, which is why each of the eight signature suites is named after an iconic politician figure.

The hotel couldn’t be more central, located on Grosvenor Square it is a five-minute walk to Bond Street, a two-minute walk to Selfridges and Oxford Street. Hyde Park is just around the corner and you have Mayfair on your doorstep awash with luxury shopping and endless find dining experiences, while a short taxi ride will take you to the west end and London’s countless theatre options.

Signature Suites

If you want to go all out then check into one of the eight Signature Squires which offer a choice of one or two bedrooms, a dining table, a living area, plus a dedicated Butler Service.

My Suite – Biltmore Grosvenor Square View Suite

During my visit, I stayed in one of their Biltmore Grosvenor Square View Suites. This is huge in size for central London covering 70 sq. m./753 sq. ft. (watch my Instagram story here)

The suite features a private king bedroom, with workspace and a separate living room. You can relax on the sofa in the living room and enjoy the smart TV, perk up with a fresh coffee from the Nespresso machine and stay connected with complimentary WiFi.

The suite comes with complimentary still and sparkling water and evening turndown service where slippers are placed out along with replenished bedside water.

Amenities include a laptop safe and USB ports and the suite can sleep three with a rollaway bed.

The luxurious bathroom was so lovely I didn’t want to leave it! Fitted with underfloor heating, indulgent amenities, bathrobes and slippers, and a walk-in shower as well as a stand-alone bath.

There was also a Japanese toilet if you like a loo-style gadget!

Views don’t get much more quintessentially London than this! The area is very quiet in the evening and combined with heavy blackout curtains you are guaranteed a good night’s sleep.

Food and Drink

Café Biltmore Restaurant & Terrace

A vibrant and relaxing spot for both indoor and outdoor dining. Cafe Biltmore offers all-day dining from breakfast through to dinner. Menu options of modern Mediterranean dishes made from locally sourced produce ranging from fresh fish to meats are guaranteed to delight, all overseen by world-renowned chef Jason Atherton.

Want a lazy afternoon relaxing? Then their Biltmore Brunch ticks all the boxes accompanied by free-flowing bubbles, Mojitos and Bloody Mary’s and head down on a Sunday for their traditional Sunday lunch with all the trimmings.

What I Ate

The Pine Bar

Head to the Pine Bar for pre or post-dinner cocktails, as well as an impressive selection of London’s finest wines, spirits and cognacs. Looking for a nibble while you drink? The bar also has a delectable food menu with a range of snacks and canapes.

If you do drink in the Pine Bar, try their margarita, with Himalayan pink salt – I can guarantee one won’t be enough!

The Tea Lounge

Located next to the lobby the Tea Lounge is a great place to unwind, serving a selection of champagnes and drinks, tea and coffee as well as Afternoon Tea with a menu that showcases the finest fresh and traditional produce from across the UK. Examples of dishes from the delicious menu includes; English cucumber, black truffle crème fraiche served on brown bread and Hereford beef sirloin and horseradish served on white bread along with Yorkshire rhubarb and Tahitian vanilla cream and of course, Cornish clotted cream, strawberry and raspberry jam to top plain and fruit scones. Guests can select from a fine collection of freshly brewed tea from the tea trolley, or opt for a glass of Moët & Chandon Imperial to mark a more glamourous occasion.

Being in such a fantastic location exploring the city is probably a high priority, however, in terms of facilities at the hotel, there is a spacious and well-appointed gym kitted out with the latest gym equipment.
