A Fusion Of Two Masters
The journey began at the historic Strathisla Distillery in Speyside, Scotland. Here, Royal Salute’s Master Blender, Sandy Hyslop (read our interview with Sandy), and Harris Reed joined forces in an exclusive blending session. This collaboration brought together their unique expertise, crafting a Scotch whisky as daring and distinguished as the designer himself.
A Crown Reimagined
Harris Reed’s signature aesthetic—known for gender-fluid fashion and dramatic demi-couture—takes centre stage in the design of the 21-Year-Old Harris Reed Edition. Inspired by royal regalia, Reed reinterprets the classic crown with an avant-garde twist. Each flagon is adorned with a halo of feathers, a nod to Reed’s iconic headpieces. Presented in three striking colourways, these theatrical designs are set to captivate fashion connoisseurs and whisky collectors alike.
The Whisky Within
Beneath the stunning exterior lies an equally impressive blend. The Royal Salute 21-Year-Old Harris Reed Edition combines the finest Scotch whiskies, showcasing the brand’s signature style with innovative flair:
- Sherry-Matured Braeval Whisky: Notes of raisins & spice evoke memories of Reed’s childhood.
- American Oak Barrels: Infuses fruity sweetness for a balanced profile.

To complement the whisky, Reed also designed a capsule fashion collection featuring three distinct looks inspired by the flagon designs, complete with bespoke headpieces.
