An Exceptional Quartet Of 25-Year-Old Single Malts Crafted In Partnership With Hamilton & Inches For Charity Auction.
Campbeltown’s award-winning Glen Scotia Distillery has revealed an extraordinary one-of-a-kind collection for The Distillers One of One Auction, taking place at Hopetoun House on Friday 10th October 2025. Titled Four Quarters, the lot features four unique 25-year-old single malts that together celebrate Glen Scotia’s Victorian heritage, maritime legacy, and enduring spirit of craftsmanship.
Each expression in the set was distilled in November 1999 a pivotal year marking Glen Scotia’s reopening under Loch Lomond Distillers and finished in casks chosen for their historic links to the distillery’s global trade routes. The result is a sensory journey across time and oceans: from the 1999 Vintage American Oak Cask matured in refill bourbon, to the Rum Cask Finish influenced by Caribbean spice, the Oloroso Cask Finish rich with dried fruits and oak, and the Pedro Ximénez Cask Finish imbued with velvety sweetness.
In a creative partnership with esteemed Scottish jeweller Hamilton & Inches, each of the four decanters has been hand-finished in crystal and adorned with gold-plated detailing, echoing the refinement of both whisky-making and fine jewellery craftsmanship. The collection is housed in a bespoke oak cabinet, complete with intricate brass inlay depicting the four quarters of the world and an illuminated interior designed to showcase the decanters in all their splendour.
Michael Henry, Loch Lomond Group master blender, said: “We are proud to donate this one-of-a-kind Glen Scotia set for The Distillers One of One Auction, in support of the valuable work the Distillers’ Charity will deliver with the proceeds. Four Quarters is a tribute to Glen Scotia’s maritime heritage, exploring Campbeltown’s Victorian trade connections around the world and the access to a wide range of casks they would have afforded throughout the distillery’s history.
Estimated at £7,000 to £14,000, Glen Scotia Four Quarters will be auctioned by Sotheby’s as part of The Distillers One of One, a biennial charity event that brings together Scotland’s leading distilleries to raise funds for The Youth Action Fund. Previous editions have raised over £4.3 million to support disadvantaged young people across Scotland, helping them develop skills, confidence, and pathways into education and employment.
