Maison Mystique

Hotel

Set within the rolling hills of Khao Yai, Maison Mystique is a boutique retreat where hospitality becomes art and imagination leads the way.  Conceived by founders Fearn Kate and Bun Dhadasih, the property spans four rai of lush gardens surrounding a mysterious manor known as the House of Curiosity. Guests are invited to wander through vine-covered pathways, secret gates, and floral labyrinths before retreating to one of the hotel’s uniquely themed rooms and suites. Each is a living story from the celestial calm The Moonwatcher’s Companion to the botanical romance of Eden’s Gardenia and the literary charm of The Darwin Room.

Dining experiences are equally immersive: The Vivarium Dining Room celebrates nature and local produce beneath a flower-draped conservatory ceiling, The Botanist’s Bible Salon de Thé offers refined afternoon teas amid vintage illustrations, and Bar Mystère brings cocktails to life as sensory art. Hidden corners such as Le Bijou and Hidden Adam invite guests to linger with jazz, fine spirits, and whispered stories.

Created by hotelier Bill Bensley, this destination hotel is loosely themed on a luxury train of old, having been inspired by the nearby 19th-century Pak Chong Railway station. You can inhabit your own upcycled vintage railway carriage (these form the suites), with marble shower rooms, carved wooden headboards and Laotian silk textiles in the mix. Somying’s Kitchen, Poirot and Papillon are the dining options, there’s a spa (playfully entitled “Back on Track) and a kids’ club — indeed the whole resort caters ably to little ones, particularly those lovers of the “choo choo”.
