Zealand, Copenhagen, Amager Vest
AC Hotel Bella Sky Copenhagen
(4 stars)The striking silhouette of this modern Scandi-style hotel of two glass and aluminium towers linked by a sky bridge stands out on the Copenhagen skyline. Next to the green area of Amager Faelled (great for jogging and walking), it is an easily-reached 10 minutes from the city centre. The interior and accommodations are obviously Nordic with plenty of light, simple furniture, and curvy organic forms. Guest can dine in an excellent restaurant, work out in the fitness centre, or chill in the spa with its pool, sauna, and treatment rooms.
Zealand, Copenhagen, Christianshavn
NH Copenhagen
(5 stars)Centrally located in the charming Christianhavn neighbourhood, the five-star NH Collection Copenhagen, is the first NH Hotel in Scandinavia. Occupying a unique historical building, overlooking the harbour, the hotel presents 394 rooms and suites, two restaurants, a bar, lounge area and seven flexible rooms for small-to-large-scale meetings of up to 252 people – so appeals to business and leisure guests alike. The chic and calm interior is inspired by the industrial and cosmopolitan atmosphere of the city and its lively harbour. The hotel has a proud focus on sustainability which is evident in the green sedum roof, use of seawater to cool the building, intelligent control of light and indoor climate and choice of sustainable materials.
Midtjylland, Aarhus
Radisson RED Aarhus
(4 stars)Built in 2020, the bright industrial design of this Radisson RED brought the city’s second-ever chain hotel, a three-minute walk away from its sister property. Guests can dine in the Atrium Bar and Restaurant or grab something quicker at the snack bar/deli, as well as lingering over drinks in the lounge. Book one of 78 bedrooms and suites, in a monochrome colour palette, with pops of rouge in a nod to the group’s name, and wake up to a Scandinavian cold-cut breakfast. There’s also a gym and parking area with electric charging points.
