The Peabody Memphis
(4 stars)See the daily march of the resident Mallard ducks at the Peabody, as they traverse from their rooftop penthouse to the hotel’s lobby’s ornate fountain. Omni Nashville Hotel
(4 stars)The huge 854-bedroom Omni is, like The Joseph, a native of SoBro. Its size allows for a wide scope of choice under one roof: multiple eating venues including a chophouse and Southern-themed restaurant, a live music bar, boutiques, a pool, spa, fitness centre and art galleries. Families are well looked after with a Kids’ Crew programme of activities and treats in the rooms. Access to the Music City Center and Country Music Hall of Fame is gained directly from the hotel and you can see some memorabilia in-house, as the lobby is adorned with framed costumes worn by notable musicians.

The Joseph, A Luxury Collection Hotel
(5 stars)Found in the SoBro district of Nashville’s Downtown, The Joseph is named after the hotel brand’s forefather. Style is at the forefront here – even the staff’s uniforms have been exclusively designed. There are huge sculptures, immersive digital installations, living green walls, original artworks commissioned especially for the hotel and a curated range of goodies in the 297 bedroom’s minibars. Dining is also an art form; Yolan is the in-house signature restaurant (with its own cheese ‘cave’), serving refined Italian dishes, accompanied by vinos from the chilled glass-surrounded wine cellar. The rooftop is home to the indoor-outdoor Denim lounge and the Rose wellness centre.
