Can Alberti 1740 Boutique Hotel will stage its annual charity concert at the Teatre Principal de Maó on Saturday, 18 October, with all proceeds going to Cáritas Menorca. Tickets are on sale now, with the performance scheduled for 7 pm.
This year’s programme brings together conductor and cellist Pejman Memarzadeh with a compact ensemble of invited artists: soprano Emy Gazeilles (Paris National Opera Company), bass-baritone Olivier Gourdy, pianist Thomas Tacquet, and cellist Gabriel Guignier, a laureate of the Pablo Casals Foundation. The evening focuses on great operatic arias and chamber pieces selected for the hall’s scale and the concert’s social purpose.
Charity Concert
The concert is organised by Can Alberti in collaboration with the Teatre Principal de Maó Foundation, with institutional support from the Foment del Turisme de Menorca Foundation and additional backing from Fundación “La Caixa” through CaixaBank. Ticketing is handled by the theatre, with seats listed from €25 and a running time of around two hours.
Funds raised will support Cáritas Menorca’s Escola de Restauració Ca n’Aguedet, a training and job-insertion project that works with people in vulnerable situations across the island. Recent reporting highlights the school’s role in hospitality training and its growing impact since launch.
