Conrad Hotels & Resorts Debuts in Germany with the Opening of Conrad Hamburg

Hilton has officially opened Conrad Hamburg, marking the anticipated debut of Conrad Hotels & Resorts in Germany. Set within the historic Levantehaus, a 1912 Art Nouveau building by architects Franz Bach and Carl Bensel, the hotel offers 283 guest rooms and suites, including 28 studios with kitchenettes and 29 suites, many with floor-to-ceiling windows framing views of the city’s skyline.

Interiors are inspired by Hanseatic elegance, with a palette of deep blues, warm greys, dark reds and copper tones that nod to Hamburg’s maritime and industrial heritage. The 232-square-metre Presidential Suite comes complete with a private balcony, fireplace and expansive living spaces. Throughout the building, curated works from German contemporary artists and Ada Isensee’s leaded glass ceiling add a distinctive cultural touch.

Culinary experiences are centred around GRETA OTO, a Latin American restaurant named after a tropical butterfly. Here, guests can enjoy dishes such as Peruvian ceviche, Brazilian beef tenderloin, grilled octopus and fresh guacamole, either in the 110-seat dining room or on the sunlit terrace. An intimate private dining room, La Mesa, accommodates 12 guests for special occasions, while GRETA OTO Bar offers cocktails including its signature Pisco Sour, with an adjacent cigar lounge for refined evenings.

Wellness is at the core of the hotel experience, with a 1,000-square-metre spa and fitness area. Highlights include a state-of-the-art gym and what will become Hamburg’s longest indoor pool once the spa opens, alongside saunas, steam baths and a menu of luxury treatments. For business and events, nine versatile venues with natural daylight accommodate everything from board meetings to gatherings of 220 guests, complemented by an executive lounge.

Positioned on Hamburg’s Kunstmeile (Art Mile), Conrad Hamburg places you within easy reach of the Elbphilharmonie, City Hall, the Alster lakes and the bustling HafenCity district.
