Grand Hyatt Singapore Reopens after Landmark Transformation

Grand Hyatt Singapore has reopened on Orchard Road following a multi-year transformation, reintroducing itself as both a Grand Living Room and a modern Wellness Haven. With 699 rooms and suites, it remains one of the city’s largest luxury hotels, now blending contemporary design with Singaporean heritage and an enhanced focus on wellbeing.

The property has been reimagined across two distinctive wings. The Grand Wing, created by Tokyo-based Strickland, presents a city stay infused with Peranakan accents, geometric motifs, and Patagonia stone bathrooms. The Terrace Wing, designed with Grant Associates, channels a serene resort feel with koi ponds, waterfalls, and neutral-toned guestrooms inspired by nature. Five Garden Studio Rooms even connect directly to the wellness lawn and pool, while expanded suites, including three Grand Presidential Suites, cater to private entertaining and long-stay comfort. Families are supported with a greater choice of connecting rooms, while Club and suite guests can access the relocated Grand Club lounge for bespoke dining and concierge services.

Culinary experiences are central to the hotel’s revival. The headline opening is Le Pristine Singapore, Michelin-starred chef Sergio Herman’s Southeast Asian debut, fusing Italian cuisine with Zeeland flavours. Long-time favourites StraitsKitchen and Pete’s Place return, with refreshed menus and design. Oasis offers poolside dining, BRIX revives its reputation as an underground nightlife institution, and Martini Bar continues its tradition of handcrafted cocktails. Venues such as 10|Scotts, The Shop and the newly expanded wine cellar add further dimensions to the hotel’s gastronomy.

Wellbeing now takes centre stage at Damai, a comprehensive wellness hub uniting science with ritual. Guests can experience signature treatments enhanced by light, heat, and oceanic minerals, or explore hydro-thermal facilities including a Himalayan salt steam room and Singapore’s only Mind Body Therapy Wall. Damai also introduces the first HYROX training club in Southeast Asia, complementing its bright, spacious gym and outdoor lawns.
