Hilton Opens First Luxury Hotel in Central Paris with the Launch of Sax Paris, LXR Hotels & Resorts

Hilton has marked a milestone with the launch of Sax Paris, LXR Hotels & Resorts, the group’s first luxury hotel in the heart of the French capital. Located in the city’s refined 7th arrondissement, the 118-room property occupies a grand 19th-century neo-Gothic building, a former telephone exchange now reimagined as a luxurious and design-led retreat.

This opening also represents the debut of Hilton’s LXR Hotels & Resorts brand in France, joining a global portfolio of handpicked, independently spirited properties. Developed in partnership with French real estate firm Compagnie de Phalsbourg, Sax Paris has been designed as a social and cultural hub for both travellers and locals, blending heritage architecture with modern Parisian flair.

The interiors, led by Karine Journo, reinterpret Left Bank sophistication with a contemporary twist. At the heart of the hotel is The Galerie, a striking communal space decorated with over 200 mirrors and Baccarat chandeliers, which leads into the leafy SAX Garden. Here, guests will find a heated outdoor pool, a jacuzzi, and a sculpture by Arik Levy, offering a tranquil counterpoint to the buzz of the capital.

Sax Paris offers a varied culinary experience with two distinctive venues. Restaurant Le SAX is the hotel’s all-day restaurant and bar, where Executive Chef David Maroleau, who has helmed Michelin-starred kitchens, presents a seasonal French menu rooted in indulgence and simplicity. The rooftop, meanwhile, is home to Kinugawa Rive Gauche a two-storey destination dining spot that brings Kinugawa’s renowned Franco-Japanese fusion cuisine to the Left Bank for the first time, complete with sweeping views across Paris.

Guest rooms and suites feature neutral tones, marble bathrooms, and natural textures, with several offering private terraces or interconnecting layouts for families. Three signature suites – The Studio, The Winter Garden Suite, and The Signature Suite – include in-room cocktail stations and minibars curated in partnership with Le Bon Marché’s La Grande Épicerie de Paris.

For relaxation and wellbeing, SAX Le Club is open 24/7 and includes Technogym equipment, a sauna, hammam, treatment rooms and a curated programme of wellness therapies. Designer bicycles, a pet-friendly service, and tailored concierge experiences further enhance the hotel’s sense of place. As part of the Pursuit of Adventure initiative from LXR Hotels & Resorts, bespoke activities such as private Seine cruises, gourmet picnics with views of Les Invalides, and exclusive access to iconic city landmarks are available to guests.

With its rich artistic direction, layered design, and privileged location near the Eiffel Tower, Musée d’Orsay, and Jardin du Luxembourg, Sax Paris introduces a new expression of luxury in the capital refined, stylish and unmistakably Rive Gauche.
