KROMO Bangkok, Curio Collection by Hilton Officially Opens in the Heart of Sukhumvit

Hilton has announced the opening of KROMO Bangkok, Curio Collection by Hilton, marking the debut of its lifestyle brand in Thailand. Located on Sukhumvit Soi 29, the newly built 28-storey property joins the brand’s global portfolio of design-led hotels.

KROMO takes inspiration from the city’s ceremonial name, The City of Nine Gems. Designed by Thai studio DIN Studio, the hotel becomes a living gallery of texture and light, where every detail reveals a connection to one of the nine symbolic gems. From the diamond-like shimmer of its façade to the emerald tones and sculptural clouds of the 10th-floor lobby by Korakot Aromdee, the interiors create an atmosphere of calm and discovery. Works by local creatives, including PATAPiAN, Angel Hat, and Studio JEW+, infuse each space with a distinctly Thai sensibility.

The 306 guestrooms and suites range from King and Twin Rooms to Junior and King Suites, starting at 30 square metres. Designed by LuxeLife Studio, the interiors blend ruby-red hues with intricate details inspired by the iridescent feathers of the sunbird. Art by Nakrob Moonmanas appears throughout the rooms on robes, mirrored panels, and even inside drawers offering hidden touches that encourage guests to explore.

On the 28th floor, the rooftop pool captures the energy of Bangkok’s skyline, with water that glimmers in zircon-inspired shades and a sunset-lit ceiling casting a molten glow. Guests can unwind on daybeds or enjoy crafted bites and cocktails while taking in panoramic views of the city below.

Dining is centred around Colette, a French-inspired bistro and bar that pays homage to Sukhumvit’s early history as Thung Bang Kapi. Here, warm ‘Kapi’ tones drawn from shrimp paste complement artworks by Pin Metal Art and woven installations by Jarupatcha Achavasmit, which evoke the fluid movement of Siamese fighting fish. The menu reinterprets French classics with local ingredients, featuring dishes such as Siam Benedict, Colette French Toast, and Steak Frites, alongside pandan and coconut madeleines with bergamot curd. Signature cocktails draw inspiration from global fashion capitals, complemented by a curated selection of natural and orange wines.

A highlight of the hotel is the Vilah Social Creative Space, where guests can join workshops and cultural events in a luminous setting inspired by the cat’s-eye chrysoberyl gem. Ceiling panels diffuse a soft, radiant glow, while installations by LIKAYBINDERY and Studio JEW+ enhance the sense of creativity and connection.
