Treehouse Hotel Manchester Opens Its Doors, Bringing Playful Luxury to the City

Treehouse Hotel Manchester has officially opened, welcoming guests to a whimsical, eco-conscious retreat in the heart of the city. As the second UK property in the Treehouse Hotels portfolio, part of the Starwood Hotels collection, this 224-room hotel promises a unique blend of nostalgia, sustainability, and contemporary design.

Located on Blackfriars Street, Treehouse Hotel Manchester is a vibrant new addition to the city’s luxury hospitality scene. With interiors that evoke childhood memories and a commitment to environmental responsibility, the hotel offers 224 treehouse-inspired rooms, including nine suites and three accessible rooms. Later this year, the Treetop Suite will join the lineup, providing an elevated stay experience.

The hotel debuts with its ground-floor restaurant, Pip by Mary-Ellen McTague, a concept centred on seasonality and low-waste cooking. Featuring locally sourced ingredients from renowned suppliers such as Littlewoods Butchers and Organic North, Pip delivers an all-day dining experience that blends comfort with culinary innovation.

Upcoming additions to the hotel’s dining scene include Sister Moon by Sam Grainger, a Southeast Asian-inspired restaurant set to open on the 14th floor, as well as The Nest in Treehouse & The Hideout, a rooftop lounge offering stunning views of the Manchester skyline.

Treehouse Hotel Manchester is more than just a place to stay—it’s a hub for entertainment and wellness. The hotel features Flix, an intimate 43-seat screening room with Dolby Atmos and 4K projection, perfect for private events and film screenings. Guests can also enjoy The Playground, a state-of-the-art gym designed for energising workouts. A membership programme will soon be introduced, offering access to Manchester’s fitness enthusiasts.

With seven versatile event spaces inspired by treetop surroundings, Treehouse Hotel Manchester provides a setting that fosters creativity and connection. The hotel will also host a curated series of cultural events, led by Manchester icons Luke Cowdrey and Justin Crawford, celebrating the city’s rich artistic and musical heritage.
