Can you share a bit about your background in hospitality and what drew you to working at The Sarojin?
I’ve been in the hospitality industry for over 30 years, and what has always drawn me to this industry is the ability to create meaningful, memorable experiences for people. When the opportunity came to join The Sarojin, I was immediately impressed by its ethos of heartfelt service, its boutique nature, and the chance to be part of a resort that delivers luxury with authentic Thai warmth.
What do you find most inspiring about working at The Sarojin?
The most inspiring aspect is our genuine connection with guests. We’re not just offering a place to stay, we’re creating moments that people remember forever. I’m also incredibly inspired by the dedication of our team, many of whom have been here since the beginning. There’s a shared passion that runs deep in everything we do.

Can you highlight the different accommodation options offered at The Sarojin?
There are 56 guest residences within the hotel offering four different room categories, each intimately set within our 10 acres of lush tropical gardens with direct access onto a secluded 11km white sand beach. All are extremely luxurious and spacious with king size beds and ensuite couples bathroom: Garden Residences (with a shaded Thai garden sala pavilion), Pool Residences (with a private pool), Jacuzzi Pool Suites (stunning views and outdoor heated pool pavilion), and the signature Two-Bedroom Pool Residences. Each is designed with contemporary styling but maintains local charm, rooms are spacious, private and offer direct access to our gardens and beach.
What are some of the key facilities and amenities that guests can enjoy during their stay?
Firstly, guests can truly start their day at leisure and in their own time enjoying our all day a la carte breakfast served with sparkling at any time through until 6pm. Guests can also enjoy our award-winning Pathways Spa, infinity-edge pool, two restaurants and bars – Ficus in the gardens nestled under the age-old ficus tree beside beside the magnificent lotus pond or Edge at the beach with beautiful views, private dining experiences on a secluded beach or cast away on a sand bar or beneath a candle lit jungle waterfall, a curated range of excursions with personal guides including “just for 2” jungle adventures, glimpse of local life insights and visits to local markets and Thai cooking classes, as well as snorkelling and diving trips to the Similan and Surin Islands, sunset cruises and private charters aboard our own private yacht the “Lady Sarojin” . We also provide free bike hire for guests, a fully equipped fitness centre, a library and our beachfront location also offers direct access to a pristine and uncrowded beach with free hire of sailing dinghies, kayaks and stand-up paddle boards.
How does The Sarojin contribute and engage with the local community?
We work closely with the local community through sustainable tourism initiatives, local hiring, and sourcing. The Sarojin Khao Lak Community Fund was founded in 2004 and our team participates and supports a variety of community and environmental projects. We also offer guests the chance to take part in these activities such as “One Booking One Tree” mangrove planting in association with national parks, or school visits creating a bridge between tourism and positive community impact.

Our Pathways Spa is a tranquil sanctuary inspired by nature, lulled by the sounds of the ocean and bird song. Some of our most popular treatments include the Royal Oriental Aroma massage, the signature Fairt Fart massage which involves two two therapists, (four hands) working together in rhythmic harmony, and our holistic wellness rituals. Please tell us more about the dining experiences at The Sarojin.
Well I’ve already mentioned our all day a la carte breakfast served with sparkling at any time through until 6pm – this is really quiet unique and so relaxing for all our guest allowing then to start each and every day with a truly relaxed holiday feel. We also have two main restaurants and bars: Ficus, nestled in the gardens under the canopy of our ancient Ficus tree and beside the magnificent Lotus Pond offers contemporary Mediterranean cuisine, and Edge, which is beachfront with gorgeous beach and sea views offering Thai and South East Asian cuisines. In addition guests can also enjoy private romantic dining experiences in extraordinary settings on the beach, beneath a candle lit jungle waterfall, or even cast away on a private sandbank.

What initiatives and projects are in place aimed at sustainability at the resort?
We are committed to low-impact luxury. Our sustainability projects include energy-saving operations, water conservation (we have our own water supply, filtering and bottling plant, we provide all guest with their own complimentary and personalised refillable water bottles) , waste reduction (recycling, elimination of all single use plastic), and partnerships with local conservation groups such as “One Tree One Booking” with national parks and our team have helped plant more than 24,000 trees since 2022. We also prioritise local sourcing and continually evaluate how we can operate more responsibly.
What developments or enhancements can guests look forward to at The Sarojin in the coming years?
We’re always looking to elevate the guest experience. Upcoming enhancements include wellness retreat packages, deeper cultural immersion programs, and upgrades to certain facilities—all while maintaining the intimate charm our guests love.
