New for Ibiza’s 2025 season is the opening of Cala San Miguel Ibiza Resort, Curio Collection by Hilton on the island’s serene northern coast. Designed as a place for rejuvenating the soul, this adults-only, five-star property embraces a laid-back rhythm, promising to connect you with the authentic spirit of the island. The Luxury Editor’s Ross and Andrew recently caught up over a long weekend here – read on to discover more.
Formed by the merging of two hotel properties, Cala San Miguel Ibiza Resort now offers one expansive resort experience. Dining ranges from relaxed Mediterranean sharing plates at La Savina, to refined Italian classics set beside the upper pool at Da’mar, and rodizio style grill Paseo, where incredible panoramic sunset views and live music each night set the tone. With two wellness centres, a curated programme of complimentary experiences, and direct access to Platja des Port de Sant Miquel, complete with reserved hotel beach beds, the resort is designed for full immersion. The soon-to-open Beach House adds even more appeal, and once you’ve arrived at Cala San Miguel, you may never want to leave.

The Club
At the heart of the resort’s luxury offering is ‘The Club’, designed for guests seeking enhanced exclusivity during their stay. Consider it as a ‘hotel within a hotel’, with 114 rooms and suites with additional space and room features, personalised service and enhanced guest benefits. Highlights include a dedicated VIP concierge, pre-arrival concierge service, access to a selection of club-only experiences, and priority reservations for dining and spa treatments. In addition, access to two breakfast experiences, along with complimentary minibar soft drinks and a welcome gift on arrival. Select suites also offer exclusive use of a FIAT 500 Cabrio for island exploration and airport pickup.

The Club’s reception flows into a bright, design-led lounge with handwoven ceiling details, natural wood finishes, and artisan ceramics. From here, you can head directly to La Savina restaurant and beyond that, the main swimming pool and beach.

For club guests checking into any of the Club King Junior Suites in the main building, there is also a lobby in the cliffside hotel.

Location
Tucked away on Ibiza’s tranquil northern coast, this enclave feels a world apart from the island’s hedonistic hotspots, yet you’re never far from the action. Ibiza Town is just 25 minutes away, San Antonio and Playa d’en Bossa in 35 minutes away, and the airport can be reached in around half an hour. Taxis, luxury transfers (we used dipesa group) and airport pick-up can all be arranged through the hotel.

The Club Rooms & Suites
The resort has a total of 292 rooms, with 114 and five room categories dedicated to The Club experience. Club room options start with King Rooms, which include a terrace with sea or pool views, Junior Suites with private plunge pools, as well as suites featuring outdoor bathtubs on larger terraces. Additional options include swim-up rooms for direct pool access or sea-view suites with panoramic vistas and sunbeds. Room aesthetics embody the essence of Ibiza’s natural beauty with light-filled interiors and finishes inspired by the island’s traditional architecture, using organic, locally sourced materials.

Club King Room with Pool View
During our stay, Andrew and I were both hosted in Club King Rooms with Pool Views, I stayed in room 2206. The Club King Room with Pool Views offers a refined take on beachside living, think contemporary Balearic styling with natural textures and a calm, coastal palette. At the room’s heart is a large King-sized bed framed by a woven jute headboard and flanked by organic rattan pendant lights. To its left, a compact pale green sofa provides a seating area, complemented by a circular rug and wooden coffee table. One of the room’s most distinctive architectural features is its vaulted terracotta-tiled ceiling, another nod to traditional Ibicencan craftsmanship.

Other room features include a stocked minibar with complimentary soft drinks (a feature for all club guests), Nespresso machine and local spirits, a flat-screen TV and work station set into a minimalist wooden frame, along with a welcome gift of a beach towel, bag and glass water bottle complimentary to all club guests.

The room’s private terrace offers views over the pool area and beyond to the waters of Cala San Miguel beach. It’s furnished with a pair of woven chairs and a low table.

The bathroom layout is semi open-plan, featuring twin stone basins, contemporary brushed chrome taps and rope-hung mirrors set into a wide vanity space at its centre. To the left, a walk-in rain shower is enclosed by a glass door and window (with a blind for modesty) that looks out to the bedroom, which is finished with natural-toned tiles and Natura Bissé amenities. On the right, a separate frosted glass doored toilet area offers privacy while maintaining the clean, contemporary aesthetic seen throughout the room.

During our stay we were shown a few different suite category rooms.

The Club Junior Suite with Private Pool
The Club Junior Suite with Private Pool also offers 45 square metres, a King-sized bed along with a large bathroom, a deep freestanding tub, and a separate walk-in shower. Outside, the terrace features a seating area and a private plunge pool.

The Club King Room with Swim-Up Pool
And The Club King Room with Swim-Up Pool, which connects indoor comfort and outdoor relaxation, with direct access to a shared swim-up pool from your private terrace

Food & Drink
The resort offers a series of distinctive, contemporary and vibrant dining venues all rooted in the use of fresh, local and seasonal ingredients, helping support local producers and ensuring a constantly evolving culinary guest experience.
Na Joaneta
For Club guests, breakfast comes with a choice of two venues, but for a more elevated start to the day, head to Na Joaneta. Exclusively reserved for Club stays, this relaxed venue looks out over the pool from the first floor and serves a vibrant buffet showcasing authentic island flavours and traditional Ibicencan cuisine.

Da’mar
For a relaxed lunch you have two options, the first is Da’mar, this breezy, design-forward space channels a playful Mediterranean energy, complete with verdant tiling and alfresco views over the upper pool. The menu focuses on slow-fermented sourdough pizzas and hand-rolled pastas, along with lighter bites like beef carpaccio with parmesan shavings. Cannolis with crushed pistachios are a must to finish. Pair with a chilled glass of local natural wine or a spritz from the cocktail list.

Cálido
The other lunch option is Cálido, effortlessly stylish and just steps from the Club’s main pool, delivering a relaxed, al fresco dining experience with a Mediterranean-Asian twist. The all-day menu is designed to be light, social and flavour-packed, dishes range from crispy prawns with kimchi sauce and vegetable gyozas with teriyaki, to flavourful tiraditos and tuna brioche rolls with avocado. Those with bigger appetites can opt for CSM’s signature smash burger, or the chicken club sandwich.

La Savina
By evening, Cálido transforms into La Savina, a restaurant championing Mediterranean dishes which celebrate Ibiza’s produce and slower pace of life. From earthy vegetarian plates like hummus and courgette carpaccio to land and sea favourites like ricotta meatballs and grilled salmon skewers. The indoor-outdoor setting brings together rattan textures, soft lighting and natural tones, while the wine list focuses on natural and biodynamic labels, and the cocktail list is not to be missed either. It’s the kind of place you come for dinner and find yourself staying all night.

Paseo
Paseo is a true chameleon, transforming from a relaxed breakfast setting by day to a vibrant, rodizio-style dining destination by night. As the sun sets, the space comes alive with the theatre of fire-cooked meats, and vegetables served tableside, all paired with buffet salads, desserts and sweeping views over Cala San Miguel. With live music and a team of fun, energetic staff, it’s a real highlight of a stay at the resort.

Beach House
Opening imminently is The Beach House, and we managed to enjoy a pre-opening sneak peek during our stay. The only venue of its kind on Ibiza’s northern coast, it offers the vibe of a beach club with the ease of all-day Mediterranean dining and an exclusive pool area. While it will be open to non-residents, Club guests enjoy complimentary access with no minimum spend required.

Pools & Beach
The resort offers a choice of three pool areas, each with its own mood and setting. At the heart of The Club lies its pool, lined with parasols and daybeds, while food and refreshments can be ordered from poolside Cálido restaurant.

A second pool, in the cliffside hotel, offers an elevated position to make the most of the views over Cala San Miguel beach with a row of sleek, bookable cabana beds lining one side.

While a third, tucked-away pool sits among leafy surroundings, perfect for a peaceful reset away from the buzz of the beach.

Cala San Miguel beach is a short two-minute stroll from the hotel, with soft golden sand and calm swimming waters. A dedicated section of the beach, complete with neatly arranged sun loungers and parasols, is reserved for hotel guests, making it easy to slip between poolside lounging and a swim in the sea.

Wellness
Begin your day with ocean-view yoga or one of the many complimentary wellness activities for The Club guests, then head to the spa for a Natura Bissé spa treatment designed to restore balance and zen. The wellness programme includes rejuvenating face and body treatments alongside personalised health therapies which can be enjoyed in the wellness area and in high season outside in the spa pagoda.

The property also has two gyms, one smaller gym with outside space in The Club and a larger one in the cliffside hotel.

Experiences
This part of the island is renowned for dramatic cliffs and secluded coves, making it ideal for hillwalking and sea swimming. The hotel’s complimentary programme (a real value add to guests as most hotels in Ibiza charge for additional experiences) activities range from paddleboarding at sunset, guided hikes, snorkelling trips, yoga and art sessions. There’s also the chance to join local artisans for herbal liqueur workshops and wine tastings set to live funk music.

Final Thoughts
Cala San Miguel Ibiza Resort, without doubt, delivers a refined alternative to the island’s livelier corners. The Club adds a heightened layer of exclusivity, ideal for those who appreciate thoughtful design and meaningful experiences. Whether you’re starting the day with yoga overlooking the sea, dipping into your swim-up pool, or enjoying sunset views at Paseo, everything feels designed to help you switch off and sink in. It’s a resort where Ibiza’s laid-back spirit is very much alive.
