For those who live in London or those who are visiting London, we highly recommend booking a table at Cicchetti. It’s a family-run Italian dining destination in the heart of Mayfair, with stylish décor, an upbeat vibe, and a delicious choice of dishes and drinks. All boxes well and truly ticked for a great dinner out!
And this summer the chic London restaurant has launched its La Piccola Estate(The Little Summer) dining concept that perfectly pairs cocktails and refreshing summer spritzes with delicious Italian small plates, ideal for sharing (or they’re that good you may want to keep all to yourself!)
The concept has been inspired by the global ‘girl dinner’ trend, which celebrates light, luxe grazing and social dining, capturing the spirit of la dolce vita with a unique Cichetti twist. When in London last week, I (The Luxury Editor’s Chrystal) had the pleasure of sampling this for myself.
Adhering to the ‘girl dinner’ trend, my niece and I booked a table for an early dinner, after a hard day of shopping, to celebrate her 18th birthday.
We received a warm welcome and were shown to our table, where the menu/sharing concept was explained. Our waitress suggested four or five dishes should be enough for two people. It was a difficult choice; I really could have eaten almost everything on the menu, so we greedily ordered six (it may have even been seven), however, after the pizza arrived, we quickly retracted the last two from our order.
We enjoyed a combination of cheesy garlic bread, margarita pizza, tuna tartare (which was prepared at the table), burrata with Parma ham and black truffle shavings, along with a selection of Italian breads (freshly baked and still warm) with olive tapenade and sundried tomato paste. Each dish is served when it’s ready, and each was absolutely delicious. High-quality ingredients and high-scoring flavour.

Again, we pondered over the dessert menu as each choice really appealed to me. I asked the waitress for her recommendation, and she assuredly said the chocolate bomb is a real winner. This also added an element of theatre to the experience, with the hot toffee sauce poured over the dark chocolate bomb shell at the table, which enticingly melted to unveil white chocolate mousse and vanilla ice-cream. It was scrumptious. We also enjoyed a portion of creamy Amarena cherry ice-cream.
We dined at a table in the main restaurant, which was great for us; however, I’d recommend sitting bar-side for the most stylish experience.

We didn’t have a cocktail, but they did look very creative, with traditional favourites such as Martini and Negroni alongside inventive new creations such as the Mezcalita, Basil Paloma and Pina Express.

So next time you fancy a stylish, sociable bite to eat, Cicchetti Piccadilly should be your next calling point.
Walk-ins are welcome, but we recommend you book in advance.
