Swim, Sun And Play Time
Guests without the luxury of their own pool can still enjoy plenty of swim time at the main pool area and a soak in the whirlpool. Grab a lounger here, or opt for one beside the sea, with a thatched parasol for some welcome shade in the noon heat. There’s a second pool for families (both are heated between April and October) and a kids club open during the school holidays. If you’ve forgotten anything in the rush of packing, Hotel Quinta Do Lago has its own boutique for any essentials and little luxuries, in addition to souvenirs.
Brisa do Mar, Ca ‘d’Oro and the Pool Bar
Dine beside the beach (indoors or on the terrace) at Brisa do Mar by Chef Gerhard Pölzl. This eatery is open for all three meals and you can tuck into the likes of rock lobster, prawn and monkfish curry with baby vegetables, lime and basmati rice; grilled lamb chops with lemon thyme and garlic, a spicy herb crust, sautéed market vegetables and mint; and creme brulée of Algarvian Locust Bean with almond ice cream.
At night, you have the option of an Italian meal at Ca ‘d’Oro, a romantic fireside dining room, with an alfresco terrace. The menu here includes vegetable and ricotta ravioli with basil tomatoes, light pesto sauce and slices of Grana Padano cheese and fillet of golden bream and grilled scarlet shrimp, with coriander and vegetables.
Or there’s the Pool Bar for daytime snack meals, like beef tenderloin steak baguette, nicoise salad and an avocado sandwich in toasted cereal bread. Cocktails are served at both the Pool and Laguna Bars.
Breakfast
Breakfast is served in the hotel’s Brisa do Mar restaurant.
