Spend New Year’s Eve in Ras Al Khaimah – A Celebration on a Spectacular Scale

If you’re still undecided where to celebrate New Year and want to do so in extravagant style, head to Ras Al Khaimah. The northernmost emirate of the United Arab Emirates is preparing to welcome the New Year with its most ambitious celebration yet, unveiling a New Year’s Eve spectacle designed to push the boundaries of scale, creativity and innovation. The emirate is aiming to make history once again with an attempt to set a new GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title for the largest single firework ever launched.

The 2025 celebration is shaped around a creative concept inspired by strength, renewal and Ras Al Khaimah’s forward-looking spirit. A carefully choreographed fusion of fireworks, illuminated drones and laser technology will transform the night sky into a vast open-air canvas, delivering a show built on precision, colour and dramatic visual storytelling.

At the heart of the programme is a 15-minute midnight display stretching across six kilometres from Marjan Island to Al Hamra Bay, positioning it among the most expansive fireworks shows staged anywhere in the world. More than 2,300 drones, including pyro and laser drones, will form intricate aerial patterns before the show reaches its climax with the launch of the record-breaking single firework as the clock strikes midnight.

Celebrations begin earlier in the evening with a family-friendly fireworks display above Corniche Al Qawasim at 8.00 PM, offering residents and visitors an opportunity to enjoy the atmosphere ahead of the main event. The midnight show then takes centre stage, combining large-scale pyrotechnics with immersive drone formations over the water.
