In the fashionable Gulch district is the Thompson. In keeping with its cool neighbourhood, the hotel lobby has a suitably hipster roastery, Killebrew Coffee, which is open for late-night brews at weekends. Head to the rooftop for a different kind of brew (you can sample many local breweries beers at the bar, along with cocktails and lighter meals), or the ground floor eatery, where seafood is the main attraction. Rooms include floor to ceiling windows, carved dark wooden headboards, furniture that nods to retro design and navy and white furnishings for a classic, yet contemporary effect.
