W Ibiza – The Balearic Destination Hotel On Santa Eulalia Beach

Bringing W Hotel’s unique mix of music, design, cuisine, and wellness to the white island, W Ibiza is the cool summer destination. W Ibiza has one of the best cocktail bars on the Ibiza, the adults-only Glow Rooftop, as well as the restaurant La Llama, for cuisine appealing to modern nomads.
It’s time to return to the Balearic Islands!

Ibiza Beckons

Summer means island holidays and Ibiza always offers the feel good vibe we all need and want! W Ibiza is so welcoming too, probably one of the friendliest teams we met on the island. The hotel has lots to inspire and impress guests for the new season, writes Andrew Forbes (The Luxury Editor).

We were wowed by W Ibiza – the cool sea and pool view guest rooms, with vintage style Marshal bluetooth amps, the intoxicating W Hotels in-room bar that always impresses, and the welcoming, personalised excursions and experience ideas offered by the Whatever/Whenever team.

Glow Rooftop is a striking top floor open air pool deck and cocktail bar, with views of the old town and out over the Mediterranean. Expect the best soundtrack to your sunbathing, pool plunging and cocktail sipping.

On the Wet Deck level, is new La Llama restaurant, serving elegant table service breakfasts and in the evening, inspiring international dishes prepared with fresh local ingredients.

La Llama Restaurant at W Ibiza

W Hotels promises to redefine revelry for the modern jet set, and certainly seems the perfect destination hotel for Ibiza, with its hip mix of original music with emerging artists, cool design with striking bars and restaurants, and its sociable, enthusiastic culture and welcoming style.

What’s more, Ibiza is the quintessential summer island destination. It delivers it all – from a world-leading music and club culture to a bohemian, barefoot Mediterranean vibe that’s laid back.

W Ibiza is on the broad palm-fringed beach at Santa Eulalia. This is a favourite part of the island, an easy 20 minute transfer from Ibiza’s airport, up the east coast.

This vibrant community has plenty of Ibiza history too, with a historic hilltop chapel that overlooks the hotel. Santa Eulalia has grown into the second largest town of the island; yet it hasn’t lost the Ibiza charm. Here it’s the perfect balance between vibrant Ibiza, and the bohemian island of past decades.  You’ll also find some of the best and most original fashion and crafts shopping in this part of the island, as well as the some of the most interesting places to eat.

Fuel Your Holiday

W Hotels is renowned for its Detox-Retox-Repeat mantra, where guests have access to both inspiring wellness and fitness together with plenty of compelling dining and drinking venues for some much deserved holiday indulgence. Here’s our low down on the places you need to check out when you check in:

Chiringuito Blue is steps away from W Ibiza, right on the beach. It’s the place to experience superb Mediterranean gastronomy. The menu promises a ‘Journey of Flavours’, and they didn’t disappoint! From the exotic eastern Mediterranean with tasty dips, grilled aubergine, and pitta bread, then to the south of Spain with crispy fried Andalucia calamari, and to the Balearics with Arenys de Mar red prawn carpaccio and charcoal grilled sea bream with Ibenco lemon and garlic. Local specialities like the octopus, straight from the grill, was excellent. We also found the service to be very friendly and professional. This is a chic beach bar restaurant with front line views, relaxed welcoming atmosphere and sophisticated island cuisine.

Glow Rooftop is the wow place for sundowners! I just loved it. Look back, and you take in views of the pine clad hills of the island, and the 16th century chapel on the summit of Puig de Missa; whilst looking ahead are expansive views of Santa Eulalia’s bay and the sea. Chill in the adults-only infinite pool, or snooze off lunch on an oversized sun lounger – but whatever you do, don’t miss a cocktail at sunset to fuel a memorable Ibiza night.

Ve Café is a chic and trendy promenade café right by the beach and promises fresh and wholesome bites and drinks. Even if you don’t want to stay for lunch, it’s a cool place to pick up a tasty and healthy takeaway picnic for the beach or hiking trip.

W Lounge is right by the Wet Deck and is the place to see and been seen. Original design with striking amphitheatre style seating makes this the perfect place to socialise, meet new people and have a sociable lunch or dinner. It’s the hub of the W Ibiza.

Wet Deck is more than just the W Ibiza pool, it’s the epitome of summer in Ibiza, enjoying Balearic beats, and great cocktails. Cool off on with the designer pool beds, in the water, or choose a theatrical daybed, with lunch and dinner service. There’s direct access to the beach, just steps away.

Both the spectacular W Lounge and the Wet Deck are open to the public, making for a great atmosphere, with people enjoy the menus of healthy foods, tasty snacks and great cocktails. I enjoy mezcal, so my favourite cocktail was W Ibiza’s take on a margarita, the Margabiza, made with Olmeca Blanco, Mezcal & agave with local lemons and the Sal de Ibiza – delish!

Suite Dreams

Cosy, Wonderful, Fabulous, Marvellous, Wow.

Yeah, the room categories kind of sum up what you should expect at W Ibiza! From the Cosy rooms (some with private pools), Spectacular Rooms (some with private plunge pools) and Wow suites, you can expect the W Hotels magic everywhere. Each of the 162 rooms is Instagram ready.

Our Spectacular room felt like a suite with its corner position, huge king bed and the spectacular deck terrace with sea views. The in-room bar was superb, and we loved the large bliss bathroom amenities.

Our private terrace at W Ibiza

I also took a peek at the EWOW Suite which was amazing. Round king bed, cavernous living area and a duplex level with the biggest private rooftop terrace in W Ibiza!

Wellness

Expect an AWAY Spa with massage & treatment rooms and salon and beauty services. There’s a fitness room too, and you can book yoga classes.

Discover Ibiza

We found Santa Eulalia a great base from which to explore the island. Las Delias, the famous hippy market, is a short drive away, as is the UNESCO Old Town of Ibiza and the legendary beach clubs of Playa d’en Bossa.

You can also easily hop on a fast ferry from Ibiza to the incredible island of Formentera. This will be a memorable day trip – the beaches and the crystal clear sea are unforgettable.

But best of all, you can just chill and hang out at W Ibiza, and enjoy the hotel vibe. the bars and restaurants and the fun of Santa Eulalia. It’s what an Ibizan summer is all about.
