Ennismore has marked the Indian debut of its Morgans Originals brand with the opening of Roswyn, a 109-suite lifestyle hotel in Mumbai that offers a more residential approach to luxury hospitality.
Located close to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, Roswyn arrives as the latest addition to Mumbai’s increasingly sophisticated luxury hotel scene. Rather than positioning itself as a traditional business hotel, the property has been conceived as what the brand calls “a home in another city”, blending design-led interiors with spacious suites, destination dining, and a strong focus on wellness.
The opening represents another milestone in Ennismore’s continued expansion across the region. Inspired by the spirit and contrasts of Mumbai itself, Roswyn seeks to capture the city’s energy while creating spaces designed equally for work, relaxation and social connection.
Unlike many city hotels, accommodation is entirely suite-based. The suites range from approximately 80 to 190 square metres and have been designed to feel more like contemporary apartments than conventional hotel rooms. Warm tones, layered textures and bespoke furnishings create a residential feel, while each suite incorporates dedicated living areas, workspaces, kitchenettes and home bars, making them equally suited to extended stays and shorter city breaks.
Food and drink form an integral part of the Roswyn experience. Leading the culinary offering is Fi’lia, the celebrated Italian concept known for its female-led kitchens and menus inspired by generations of family recipes. Elsewhere, Black Lacquer brings a different atmosphere to the property, centred around a vinyl-led listening bar where the music evolves with the tempo of the evening, creating an intimate setting for cocktails and late-night gatherings.
The hotel also introduces The Third Room, a flexible social and business space designed as a modern gathering place for entrepreneurs, creatives and professionals. Conceived as somewhere between a private members’ club and a collaborative workspace, it reflects the increasingly blurred boundaries between work and leisure travel.
Wellness plays an equally important role within the concept. Blu Xone, the property’s longevity-focused wellness destination, has been created to encourage a more balanced approach to travel and wellbeing, complementing the hotel’s wider philosophy of slow, intentional living.
While Mumbai is no stranger to luxury hotels, Roswyn represents something slightly different. Rather than focusing solely on traditional notions of luxury, the property places equal emphasis on lifestyle, creativity and a sense of belonging.
