NoMad Singapore has opened for reservations ahead of its December 2026 debut, when the New York hotel brand will arrive in Asia Pacific for the first time.
Taking over the former Faber House site on Orchard Road, the hotel will sit within easy reach of Singapore’s Central Business District and close to the historic Peranakan shophouses of Emerald Hill. NoMad’s familiar Art Deco style will feature throughout, joined by design details influenced by Singapore and its surroundings.
The building itself is difficult to miss. Designed by Singapore architecture practice WOHA, the 19-storey property will feature a cascading 14-storey waterfall down its exterior. Inside, guests won’t find a conventional ground-floor hotel lobby either.
Instead, check-in takes place on the fifth floor, where an open-air reception leads into Lù Bar. Part lobby lounge, part all-day dining space, the bar extends onto an outdoor terrace and swimming pool, with views back across Orchard Road.
Above, 173 rooms, including 25 suites, are spread across 12 floors. Pale blues and greens are paired with marble, burlwood, custom wool rugs and decorative screens, with details influenced by the Peranakan shophouses of nearby Emerald Hill. 71 Atelier Rooms will measure 32 square metres, each incorporating a living area and bathtub. For more space, Parlour and NoMad Suites measure between 42 to 43 square metres. Both have separate living areas, bathtubs and double vanities. Rooms with two queen beds are also available.
Art will be a particularly significant part of the hotel. More than 1,860 works are being brought together for the collection, with 90 per cent created by Singapore-based artists. Works will include oil on copper, acrylic photography and floral installations. NoMad is also working with ART:DIS, a Singapore non-profit organisation advocating for greater access to the arts for people with disabilities. Artists with disabilities are being commissioned as part of the programme, with their work displayed throughout the hotel.
Dining plays an important part of the NoMad Singapore offering. At the top of the building, NoMad Grill combines elements of a classic brasserie with a New York chophouse. Ornamental columns and a high, tin-coffered ceiling will surround diners, while dry-aged meats will be cooked over a wood fire. Seafood and a raw bar will also feature, alongside tableside service and cocktails.
Next door, the Tropicana Club cocktail bar draws on the glamour of Havana’s cabaret scene during the 1940s and 1950s, as well as Singapore’s own Tropicana Club, which opened in 1968. Live music will play nightly, accompanied by a craft cocktail menu.
There is even room for an ice cream parlour. At street level, Sticky Fingers will serve house-made soft-serve sundaes and coffee during the day, followed by floats and classic cocktails after sunset.
Bookings are now open for stays from 1 December. NoMad Singapore joins NoMad London, which opened in Covent Garden in 2021, but its Peranakan influences, Singapore-focused art collection and tropical, open-air spaces will give the brand’s first Asia Pacific hotel a unique identity.
