The ONE

Located in the city’s The One building and at 190 metres tall, this skyscraper is part of a new generation of integrated towers popping up across Frankfurt. Designed with a visually striking woven façade, the lower 14 storeys and 49th floor accommodate the nhow Frankfurt.

Location

Located in close proximity to the Kap Europa conference centre, the Skyline Plaza and the Messe, one of the largest exhibition spaces in the world. It’s a 15-minute walk to Frankfurt sur le Main, the city’s main train station and door to door it’s a 20-minute drive to Frankfurt Airport which is home to Lufthansa and with a flight arriving or landing every 46 seconds you truly are at the heart of one of Europe’s most connected cities.

The Art of Money

The interiors of the hotel were conceptualised by the Spanish architecture and interior design firm Rafael de La-Hoz Arquitectos. Fully embracing the theme “The Art of Money,” the lobby features a golden geometric wall installation, overhead, a series of angular golden pendant lights further reinforce the hotel’s theme of wealth and power, while the check-in desk glows in a pink warm hue.

Rather than a conventional hotel seating area, the lobby doubles as an interactive social hub (there are co-working spaces on levels two and three). The circular cocktail bar is wrapped in a gradient LED panel that shifts through a spectrum of colours and suspended above the bar, a sculptural chandelier of golden coins nods to the world of finance. Organic, sculptural seating with folded fabric textures sit alongside classic leather armchairs and contemporary loungers.

In the centre of the lobby a striking black-and-gold spiral staircase leads to the restaurant and the VIP Lounge area which sweeps upwards like a ribbon, forming a dramatic architectural focal point. Beneath it, a foosball table, a freestanding clawfoot bathtub and doughnut seating rings introduce a playful element to the design.

Also in the lobby, you find the hotel’s robotic room service assistant, “BILL,” a fully automated service robot designed to deliver drinks and snacks directly to guest rooms. Just Dial 2222 on your room phone to call the robot to your room. The traditional lobby fruit selection is out and instead an array of complimentary sweets and doughnuts, offering an indulgent treat upon arrival.

Size and Accommodation

375 rooms and suites across floors 4 to 14, each offering a unique visual spectacle of oversized collage-style murals depicting financial themes in bright colour palettes by David Zuker. Along with stylised room design elements inspired by currency and banking vaults. Standard nhow Rooms (22 m²) include rain showers, Nespresso machines, and large TVs, while Premium Rooms (29 m²) offer extra space and city views. Enjoy elevated luxury in the Junior Suites (34-37 m²) and nhow Suites (40-44 m²), which include separate seating areas and VIP Insider Lounge access, providing exclusive refreshments and networking space. The Family Room (34-37 m²) is ideal for larger groups, while the Penthouse Suite (90 m²) delivers ultimate luxury with panoramic city views and two bedrooms. All rooms feature minibars, complimentary Wi-Fi, and a wealth of complimentary amenities.

My Room During My Stay – nhow Junior Suite with view + VIP Lounge access

Positioned on the corners of the building, the junior suites (I stayed in room 1309) offer an enhanced sense of space at 37sqm, with dual-aspect floor-to-ceiling windows that frame breathtaking city views while flooding the room with natural light.

I found the view from the hotel room mesmerising, it could take on the Manhatten skyline. I spotted the Trianon Tower, with its cut-out triangular top, to its left, the Silberturm, a sleek silver-clad skyscraper which gleams in the sunlight. In front, the pointed steeple of Old St. Nicholas Church offers a reminder of the city’s past amidst its rapid transformation. And finally, the yellow tower of the Museum für Kommunikation in the foreground adds a pop of colour to the concrete urban palette.

A focal point in each of the guest rooms are the wall murals by David Zuker, framing the bed they are a collage of financial symbols, cultural figures, and surreal imagery evoking the unpredictability of the financial world. The mural extends beyond the walls, wrapping onto the ceiling and as you lie back, they offer the perfect dreamlike view for drifting off into a thought-provoking sleep.

Bathrooms are enclosed by floor-to-ceiling glass panels, connecting the bedroom and bathroom while enhancing the sense of space. Clad in sleek black marble-effect tiles with delicate white veining, it included a deep bathtub, and a rain shower, while gold fixtures and gold embossed towels further complement the hotel’s Art of Money theme.

Breaking from traditional hotel design, the vanity sink in the Junior Suites is a standalone centrepiece within the room. Rich magenta in colour and at its heart a sculptural black-and-gold basin contrasts with sleek golden tapware. Above the sink a large, round mirror and beside a secondary magnifying mirror. Surrounding the vanity are clever design elements like a luggage shelf, safe, storage drawers and ironing station along with a recessed minibar and Nespresso station. Amenities are plentiful too, with a selection of complimentary bath salts, dental kit, lip balm, comb, brush and shower hat and more.

Penthouse

The 12th floor is home to the Penthouse, this expansive room offers 90sqm of stylish, open-plan luxury. Featuring two bedrooms, flanked on either side by a central lounge area which also includes a dining table, perfect for social gatherings or business meetings. I loved that the bedroom bathtubs are positioned directly in each bedroom, allowing you to soak in the bath while also soaking… up the skyline views.

NFT Skybar

Located on the top floor of the building, the NFT Skybar is one of the city’s most exclusive social venues and a complete show-stopper. So much so its popularity often results in queues at weekends, but as a guest of nhow Frankfurt, you have priority access. Simply use your room keycard in the lift, select level 47, and enjoy seamless entry at any time during your stay.

The NFT Skybar is a futuristic bar concept integrating NFTs and blockchain technology into its core experience. The statement bar area is a long sleek counter illuminated by perforated lighting and a vast backlit spirits display. Overhead, geometric neon installations add a cyberpunk-inspired dimension. Throughout the bar, vivid neon lighting in shades of magenta, electric blue, and deep red reflects off metallic surfaces and polished floors.

To one side a tiered seating area features futuristic block-style seating and a wall adorned with cryptocurrency-themed murals. On the other side, a lounge area with high-gloss red walls contrasts with leather sofas and chairs.

Outside a wrap-around terrace, encased by floor-to-ceiling glass windows, sleek, modern high-top tables and bar stools line the edge offering uninterrupted views as far as the eye can see.

Following the success of the hotel’s inaugural 2022 NFT collection, nhow Frankfurt has introduced Daydream Trip, a new digital series by artist David Zuker who is the creative force behind the hotel’s vibrant mural designs. Comprising 30 limited-edition NFTs, Daydream Trip offers more than just digital art ownership. Purchasers gain exclusive benefits, including priority access to the NFT Skybar for one year and a complimentary signature cocktail.

In addition, Abdullah Rashwani, nhow Frankfurt’s mixologist, has created a new cocktail menu embracing 2025’s emerging trends, designed to complement the NFT collection with an immersive sensory experience.

Highlights include the Nebula Elixir, a cosmic fusion of Hennessy and yuzu liqueur with an interactive smoke effect; the Golden Smoke Old Fashioned, a saffron-infused take on the classic, adorned with edible gold to reflect the retro revival trend; and the Flaming Rose, a bold mix of banana-infused vodka, jalapeños, and rose syrup, showcasing the growing preference for sweet and spicy flavour pairings.

Breakfast

Located on level one, the hotel’s restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch, offering buffet-style dining and a hot cooking station.

VIP Insider Lounge

Guests staying in the hotel’s suites and premium rooms enjoy exclusive access to the VIP Insider Lounge on Level One. On level three you can enjoy the hotel’s, gym and sauna, while those looking for a more relaxing experience can unwind in the high-tech massage chair. This state-of-the-art chair offers a customised massage experience with an auto body scan, multiple massage programmes, and full-body relief targeting the neck, shoulders, back, arms, and legs.
