5 Star Hotels Boutique Hotel Reviews Seville

Hotel Casa Palacio Don Ramón 5* GL, Seville – The Ultra-luxury Destination In The Heart Of Andalucia’s Capital

Embodying the elegance of Seville past and present, the impeccable Casa Palacio Don Ramón 5* GL, Seville takes a city hotel stay in the Southern Spain to new heights of luxury.

Seville, Andalucia’s vibrant capital, is undoubtedly one of the Southern Spain’s most elegant destinations, a city renowned for its captivating architecture, rich culinary and artistic culture, and urban sophistication. So, it’s only fitting that a hotel has emerged that celebrates the city’s refined approach to life. Hotel Casa Palacio Don Ramón 5* GL is the place to stay if you’re looking for a sophisticated experience, writes Andrew Forbes (The Luxury Editor).

Elegance

Taking the name from a legendary figure who set his goal to create the most charming place to stay, Casa Palacio Don Ramón is a masterclass in refinement and elegance, a privileged address in the centre of the city that is steps from sights of old town. With a few minutes you can be marvelling at the architecture of Las Setas, said to the world’s largest wooden structure, browsing the captivating boutiques of Calle Sierpes, listening to the buskers on the Plaza de San Francisco, or standing in awe at the magnificence of the city’s cathedral and the iconic La Giralda tower.

As soon as you enter this refined, palatial property, you are immersed in a privileged world where the best of Seville’s romantic past meets the comforts of contemporary life.  The team maybe dressed in the timeless elegance of traditional uniforms, but their style and friendliness make you feel immediately at home.

Seville lifestyle

Casa Palacio Don Ramón focuses on the finer things in life, and the comforts of a noble house, where you can indulge with a cocktail or two, dine well, relax in elegant surroundings, and retire to a fabulous room. There’s also a delightful roof terrace with bar and pool for those sultry Seville days when relaly you just want to sip a chilled manzanilla and snooze in the sun.

El Limon Restaurant

This aristocratic residence is set around a classic Andalusian patio, sun-drenched covered courtyards that offer a relaxed seating area to read or enjoy a drink, and another that is home to the hotel’s gastronomic dining, El Limon Restaurant. Facing the street is the restaurant’s bar, a magnificent space that feels bright and contemporary yet cleverly embodies references to the city’s rich cultural and architectural past, with references to traditional bars, and even as far back as Al Andaluz with a wonderful Mozarab ceiling design. Start the evening here with a signature cocktail, like the El Naranjo, with gin, Flor de Sevilla, red vermouth, and a splash of amaretto, evocative of the fragrant streets filled with orange blossom. Then head into the courtyard that for me felt like a space filled with the essence of an eternal spring. Frensh flowers on the table, lemon trees around the fountain and extravagant decoration of blossoms immerses you in an exotic world of sensations.

You can try the tasty tapas, for bite size morsels of divine flavours like the trilogy of homemade croquettes, the mini salmon burger with avocado, or the paring cannelloni.  But if you are anything like me, you will want to continue to indulge, enjoying dishes from the a la carte menu including wild sea bream, steak tartare, a flavoursome presa ibérica or classic oxtail.

The wine list celebrates Spain’s place aa a major world producer and includes local Andalusian wines like the delicious Sevilla white wine Cueva la Sima.

It’s a treat to know you only have to head upstairs to sleep.  Passing through the elegant lobby of palms in gorgeous ceramic pots, and past vintage details and fine art you reach the lift that will take you to our suite.

Here the accommodation is truly luxurious. Attention to detail is everywhere. Bespoke wallcoverings, handmade carpets, custom furniture, and lighting as well as curated art and book collections make for a sophisticated experience.

And you feel special, a true VIP.

We stayed in the Don Ramon Suite, signature accommodation with a private terrace and delightful salon.

Whichever room or suite you choose, expect a unique space, referencing the artistic and cultural heritage of the city. The owner is passionate about design, history and art and this manifests in the most extraordinary, extravagant, and luxurious interiors.

Beautiful breakfast

Then wake up to one of the most elegant breakfasts in the city, with table service. Each item is brought to the table, so you don’t have to lift a finger, just relish a leisurely start you your day in the capital.

Seville is a magical destination and the team at front desk will be happy to arrange bespoke days out. During our stay I saw the concierge busy organising private trips to Cordoba, arranging a private tour of the alcazaba fort in Seville, and making dinner reservations at sought-after venues. I guess that’s all part of the GL, Grand Luxury service of Casa Palacio Don Ramón.
