September 2023 saw the launch of this new Marriott property, situated in the sought-after west end of the city. Its location’s industrial past has informed the design of public areas, which incorporate warm metals and brick finishes, while 398 bedrooms contain motifs nodding to the area’s heritage. Amenities include four dining spaces, a roof growing herbs and mushrooms on-site for the restaurants and introducing rooftop beehives and water collection systems. a terrace, the Greatroom Lobby, M Club (for those staying in higher grade rooms and for Elite Marriott Bonvoy members), a gym and 20 meeting/events rooms. The hotel is a little over 10 10-minute drive from the city centre and just over 30 minutes to the airport.
