Bookings Open For Atlantis The Royal, Dubai’s Newest Ultra-luxe Resort

We’ve had a sneak peek at Dubai’s latest landmark hotel, a grand and ambitious project, due to open its doors in 2023. Guests will be pampered in suites with butler service, mini-pillow menus, private infinity pools and a world-class “club among the clouds”. The pinnacle of luxury, Atlantis the Royal will boast a 22nd-floor infinity pool with unparalleled views over the Arabian Sea; the largest jellyfish aquarium in the world; a water fountain show with fire breathing; and a collection of celebrity chef restaurants and bars.

Rooms, Suites and Signature Penthouses

The world’s leading designers, architects and artists are on board, creating its 795 rooms across 43 storeys and six towers. 44 of the resort’s luxury Suites and Signature Penthouses will offer private infinity pools and elite butler service. This will include luggage unpacking, clothes pressing, a private resort orientation and experience concierge, as well as a mini pillow sample menu to curate a bespoke sleep experience. The unique amenity features miniature versions of seven types of pillows (cool down, memory foam for head, memory foam for feet, buckwheat, pregnancy and body pillow options), enabling guests to review the shape, touch and feel of the pillows before making their choice.

All of its accommodations will deliver show-stopping ultra-luxury touches, including a bespoke selection of amenities from Hermès, Frette and Graff. Guests can control their room’s thermostat, lighting, television and other amenities via their mobile phones and personalise the tech that loads the most popular streaming media and other accounts to in-room TVs.

17 restaurants and bars

It brings signature restaurants from culinary giants Gaston Acurio, Ariana Bundy, Costas Spiliadis and Jose Andres. Britain’s Heston Blumenthal will introduce Dinner and his first-ever cocktail bar, the unique Resonance, featuring a 6.5m high jellyfish aquarium home to 4,000 moon jellies, meticulously crafted and complex cocktails, food, and purposeful theatre. Plus, Nobu will be opening its inaugural pool and beach club at the resort. On the same floor, you’ll find Ling Ling, a modern Pan-Asian, day-to-night venue from the world-leading Tao Group Hospitality. From here you’ll be wowed with 360-degree views of the Arabian Gulf and glittering skyline, multi-sensory meals and a buzzing vibe.

Cloud 22

A 90-metre Skypool on the 22nd floor will be at the heart of the outdoor entertainment experience, Cloud 22. Here, VIP cabanas come with private plunge pools, there will be a swim-up bar and a glittering head-shaped DJ booth. It’s set to be the hottest place to party in Dubai, with jaw-dropping views and the best DJs on the decks. Water will be a strong theme throughout, with fountains and installations designed by WET Design; the fire-breathing Skyblaze fountain will be the first and only permanent fire and water performance fountain in the Middle East.

A star-studded unveiling

Ahead of its public opening, Atlantis the Royal, will host an epic Grand Reveal in January with a VIP lineup in attendance (the launch of Atlantis The Palm in 2008 saw a range of celebrity guests including Robert DeNiro, Gerard Butler, Kylie Minogue and Priyanka Chopra, and a firework display that could be seen from space!).

Tim Kelly, Managing Director of Atlantis Dubai says of the brand’s latest endeavour “This is it. Our moment is finally here to reveal Atlantis The Royal as the world’s most ultra-luxury entertainment resort. Openings of resorts like this one only come around once or twice in a decade, and we can’t wait to share it with the world.  As these new images demonstrate, this is a resort like no other and the building itself will become an instantly recognisable icon of the Dubai skyline. We are excited to begin welcoming guests next year and treat them to an experience they’ll never forget.”
