Santikos Collection has announced the official opening of their brand-new restaurant Nest, located on the rooftop of The Alex in Kastella, Athens – the brands first city hotel that opened June 2019. Ready to thrill its guests by both the breath-taking views and its unique gastronomic delights, Nest is set to become a firm favourite for locals and guests alike.

The Alex and Nest share the same modern, minimal, fresh and innovative philosophy and have already successfully bought an exciting new vibe to the Kastella neighbourhood of Piraeus with its understated yet sophisticated space. Chef George Bakas joins Nest after spending a number of years as a chef with AMAN and undertaking collaborations with celebrated chefs including Gordon Ramsay. His dishes guarantee a mouth-watering culinary journey with influences from Madrid, London, and Thailand and for Nest, he has skilfully created a light and healthy menu with dishes inspired by the Mediterranean Sea. Everything he creates uses fresh ingredients and the menu in the restaurant will change regularly to reflect fresh, seasonal produce. Signature plates include Kale Salad, Tuna Tartar, Giouvarlakia with seafood and Risotto gemista.

The launch of The Alex and Nest signals an exciting time for the Santikos Collection brand and with this particular opening, location was everything. Guests are easily able to get into the centre of Athens for the day to visit the Acropolis and the National Museum of Contemporary Art as well as heading out to visit nearby islands such as Spetses and Hydra, just 1hr by hydrofoil.

Nest is open from 13:00 to 17:00 and from 19:00 to 24:00. Guests are encouraged to book in advance.
