NU Downtown, Sophisticated Dining, and Entertainment in Marbella

With striking interior design including a lush ‘magic garden’, signature cocktails, a tempting dinner menu of Asian fusion cuisine, and entertainment and DJs late into the night, NU Downtown is the new place to be in Marbella.

NU Downtown is the latest creation from Mosh group, renowned for creating unique experiences through the creative combination of design, music, entertainment, and gastronomy. This on-trend restaurant and club is within the Hard Rock Hotel Marbella complex, adjacent to Marbella’s casino, but with its own dedicated entrance.

Inspired by Asia, NU takes its name from an ancient tribe in China. The style is contemporary, urban – with columns decorated in graffiti and the centre of the space dominated by huge dark marble tables that glimmer with neon detailing – it’s a Bladerunner vibe.

Dining starts at 8pm, and by 11:30pm the cosmopolitan, sleek, avant-garde restaurant is resonating with live dinner show entertainment and nightclub DJs.

The magic garden is a more intimate, secluded space for outdoor dining and drinks under the stars.

NU Downtown has a warm and dynamic atmosphere with a friendly attentive team. We began the evening with cocktails, as mixology is very much part of the NU experience, with a menu of signature drinks setting the tone for a fun evening.

From the open kitchen expect Asian fusion and world kitchen flavours, with the talented and charismatic Chef Franco Franceschini at the helm. Although Mosh venues are always more than just about food, here the cuisine shares the spotlight. Bold flavours and creative presentation make each dish a memorable experience. The menu includes sharing plates, like tasty yakitoris, sensational beef gyozas with green curry sauce, and sea bass tiraditos. There are new dishes for the season including Wagyu Tonkatsu, where you can prepare your premium beef in a hot, tasty broth, as well as the Solomillo Wok with delicious sirloin. Other meat dishes include the classic Pekin Duck, and Korean-style Wagyu Ssam.
