This sparkling new resort is inviting locals and visitors to add some gastronomic grandeur to their weekends with the resort’s new Brunch.
The Cortijo restaurant, with sea view terrace, hosts an unlimited buffet, and unlimited sparkling wines, beers, red wine & refreshments.
The generous buffet includes cooking stations – one dedicated to market fresh Andalucian fish & seafood; another to handmade pasta; and of course you can order from the grill for specialities like grilled calamari or succulent octopus.
Brunch here feels a very modern affair – hip surroundings and a cool aesthetic makes for a dynamic and sociable day with friends and family.
There’s something special about these carefree Sundays chatting and laughing with loved ones, and slowly working your way through the culinary temptations, from eggs benedict, creative salads, cheeses and cold cuts to elegant main dishes cooked to order. There’s lots of healthy juices, smoothies, fruits, and artisan breads too.
SO/ Sotogrande mixologist Alex has created three signature cocktails to accompany the brunch. To start, I tried his innovative interpretation of a negroni, with a smoky, citrus twist, making it perfect as an aperitif. Then later there is a Sherry Mary, (a bloody Mary with local fino). Each cocktail is prepared at your table.
To go with the sweet treats, enjoy the exceptional Coffee Dream cocktail made with cardamon gin, coffee liqueur and local Pedro Ximénex – finished with a little cream and a ‘drunken’ cherry!
The puddings and deserts are unmissable, a decadent and indulgent selection of cakes, artisan macarons, and more.
So, be assured that SO/ Sotogrande is the destination for hungry brunchers that enjoy quality and style. Bring a mighty appetite!
