Just a few places remain for Culinary Icons: Second Edition, an unmissable gastronomic event on Tuesday 2 June. Chefs Nobu Matsuhisa, Izu Ani, Dani García, Yiannis Kioroglou and Albert Adrià come to La Plaza for a live culinary showcase that includes an eight-dish gastronomic lunch.
Culinary Icons reaches its Second Edition this coming Tuesday. This is your last chance to be part of it.
This event brings together five of the world’s most renowned chefs, each presenting some of their most iconic dishes, live on stage at La Plaza, the open-air square at the heart of the resort.
Watch each chef’s demonstration while enjoying canapés and cocktails, then savour all eight dishes, including two desserts, as a gastronomic lunch at your table.
Wine, beer, soft drinks and a signature welcome cocktail from SIPS Barcelona are all included. SIPS, named World’s Best Bar in 2023, are presently in residence at Bar La Plaza.
The returning chefs are Nobu Matsuhisa, whose Nobu style Japanese cuisine with Peruvian ingredients built one of the most recognised restaurant brands in the world; Izu Ani, the British-Nigerian chef credited with pioneering Dubai’s modern dining scene and whose GAIA restaurants have earned a devoted international following; and Dani García, the only chef in Andalusia to have been awarded three Michelin stars, and one of Spain’s most influential culinary figures.
New to the line-up this year is Yiannis Kioroglou, who leads the kitchens of La Petite Maison on the French Riviera. La Petite Maison, founded by Nicole Rubi over three decades ago in Nice, opened at Puente Romano Marbella this spring. And the headline addition is Albert Adrià, whose Enigma in Barcelona sits on The World’s 50 Best Restaurants list and who received the 2025 Estrella Damm Chefs’ Choice Award, the only peer-voted accolade in the programme. Adrià will close the afternoon with dessert, a fitting return to the pastry craft iiwhere his career began at the legendary El Bulli.
What makes this event more than a one-off spectacle is the fact that four of the five chefs represent destination restaurants within Puente Romano Marbella. Nobu Marbella, GAIA Marbella, Leña Marbella and La Petite Maison Marbella are all part of a dining collection that has transformed the resort into one of Europe’s most serious culinary addresses. Culinary Icons is the afternoon when that talent comes together on a single stage.
The event takes place during the opening weeks of SIPS Barcelona’s three-month summer residency at Bar La Plaza, named World’s Best Bar in 2023 by The World’s 50 Best Bars, Best Bar in Europe three years running and ranked number three in the world in the most recent edition. Co-founders Marc Álvarez and Simone Caporale bring their celebrated Barcelona cocktail house to the resort for the season.
Tickets are priced at €250 per person, with proceeds benefiting the Spanish Red Cross. The event is proudly supported by Sierra Blanca Estates.
A few places remain, but not for long. Book here.
