Four Seasons Hotel at Ten Trinity Square, London

Steeped in history and elegance, this iconic century-old hotel boasts architectural grandeur, modern luxury and impeccable service. Standing proudly close to the River Thames, the Tower of London and the DLR, the Grade II-listed Art Deco property offers a convenient five-star base for tourists and those on business in the nearby financial districts. This is a place where London’s past blends into its present and brings luxury to life.

A Naval Past

Originally built as the headquarters of the Port of London Authority in 1922, Ten Trinity Square is more than a hotel – it’s a landmark that’s been carefully restored to its former glory. The hotel pays homage to this rich heritage, with original architectural details and exquisite craftsmanship evident throughout the property, as well as nautical motifs. After being bombed in World War II, the ground floor was refurbished, bringing it into the midcentury. From the stunning lobby to the elegant guest rooms, every corner of the hotel tells a story, immersing guests in a world of timeless elegance. And there are currently a number of artefacts from the Museum of London Archaeology on show beneath the grand domed ceiling.

100 Guest Rooms and 34 Residences

The hotel features a range of accommodations arranged into categories of Superior and Deluxe rooms (floors one to three); Premier rooms; Executive rooms with honey-oak features and separate living space; third-floor corner Suites; Speciality Suites with original features (these are sub-categorised as Heritage, Trinity Heritage, Grand Heritage and Royal Garden; and individually-designed Residences, with between one and four bedrooms across two levels and private terraces looking out over London. Each bedroom has a king-size Four Seasons Bed, wooden panelling, a refrigerated private bar with a coffee maker and bedside charging stations as standard, with calming grey tones. While higher-category accommodations include contemporary four-poster beds, bio-ethanol fireplaces, Lorenzo Villoresi amenities, Bose speakers, dining areas and kitchens with Gaggenau appliances.

The Rotunda Bar and Lounge

A convivial setting for a fine afternoon tea, The Rotunda’s take on the Victorian tradition is themed on the nearby Tower of London and entitled The Crown Jewels. Enjoy a selection of finger sandwiches, a Devonshire cream tea and a selection of light pastries, with loose-leaf tea, non-alcoholic sparkling tea, or a glass of fine champagne. Guests can sink into a comfy upholstered armchair for a few cocktails and oysters on ice, a vintage spirit and a little caviar, some bar bites, a morning meal, or something a little heartier from the grill. At weekends, The Rotunda’s house pianists play during the afternoon, while vocalists regale patrons in the evening, from the central “stage” area, beneath the rotunda ceiling.

La Dame de Pic London

This outpost of the renowned La Dame de Pic brand by Anne-Sophie Pic offers diners the opportunity to experience the French chef’s unique culinary style (guided by intuition and emotion) and innovative award-winning dishes. Pic is the most decorated Michelin-starred female chef in the world, with 10 stars in total, two of which have been earned (and retained in 2023) at Ten Trinity Square. Sample a daytime tasting menu, or the “Journey” and “Voyage” tasting menus by night. The signature dish is Berlingots; perfectly formed pasta parcels arranged in a neat circle, with Brie de Meaux and pine nuts, wild mushrooms, watercress coulis and Douglas pine. Despite its high credentials, the dining room here provides a relaxed atmosphere and there’s a separate space where up to 12 can enjoy a private meal.

Mei Ume and Bloom

Lunch and dinner is also served at Mei Ume, where the cuisine is a modern take on traditional dishes. Choose from a set lunch or a la carte menu, with vegan/vegetarian and gluten-free menus also available. Signature dishes here include a whole Peking duck served across two courses, crispy cream prawn maki and Szechuan crispy king prawns with chilli and peppercorn. Bloom is the hotel’s summer pop-up venue on the rooftop, with exceptional city views. Taking over the Crown Residence, it’s been flooded with blooms from top florist Wild at Heart, creating an Eden-like environment for drinks, bar snacks and charming afternoon tea picnics.

The Spa at Ten Trinity Square

Guests can take some time out from the hubbub of the city at this in-house spa. The 24-hour fitness centre is fully equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, there’s a vitality pool, steam room and sauna, and the 14-meter indoor pool provides a tranquil setting for a refreshing swim (there are set pool hours for kids, catering for those who want some time together as a family and those who prefer a more serene environment). Book some massage and hammam treatments, or get ready for a night out, with a cut, colour, style and beauty treatments at the award-winning Gielly Green salon.
