Family fairy-tale castle suite accommodation at Fantasia Bahia Principe Tenerife

In time for the winter sun season, families staying at the fantasy-themed Fantasia Bahia Principe Tenerife will be wowed with the new ‘Castle Suite’ accommodation, within the fantasy castle at the heart of the resort.

Designed to be used as a one – or two-night special upgrade, the new fantasy-themed suite features a splendid sun terrace balcony view overlooking the hotel’s swimming pools, fantasy dragon tree and waterpark, ensuring families really will feel like they’re in the royal box during their stay.

Sleeping up to five people with a king-size bed and truckle bunk; it features its own private lift, family swing, two minibars – one for the adults and one for the kids – a dressing room with role play costumes and make-up for the children, a variety of board games, welcome drinks and bathrobes for the whole family. Room service breakfast can also be ordered to complete the royalty treatment.

While the suite will be a huge entertainment draw, throughout the family friendly all-inclusive property, the fun just keeps coming.  The scene is set on arrival, when Castle-suite staying families are welcomed by the hotel’s cute mascots for a special and photo-session, then there’s the ‘Candy Man’, on hand in the hotel’s lobby of the hotel enthralling kids and giving out sweets. And, after a quick chat to the dedicated family concierge, the holiday fantasy begins. From tots to teens, amenities include a poolside fairy-tale castle, waterpark with several pools, special kids’ spa treatments, teens club with private disco, and kids club with a range of activities from costume workshops to cooking experiences.

A real crowd pleaser is the nightly multi-media theatrical show which combines Cirque de Soleil style music and acrobatics with spectacular lighting and video projections. On the food front, the choice is vast ranging from a grill restaurant, casual poolside dining, buffet-style restaurants which are perfect for family sharing, Italian themed complete with pizza oven and Asian style for noodles galore. Early sittings and toddler friendly areas are also available for younger children; plus, the staffed playroom, located next to the buffet and Italian restaurants, means that mums and dads can enjoy some relaxed time together over dinner while the kids have fun next door.

Even during the day, while the kids are off making the most of the action-packed clubs, the adults can take the time to relax in the adults-only infinity pool with a bar and special swim up suites, as well try a spa circuit at the brand’s signature Bahia Spa and wellness centre – which includes a sauna and steam room. In total, the resort has 372 rooms, seven swimming pools, five restaurants, six bars, and a golf camp just next to the resort.

    Hey Andrew,
Did you actually stay in the Castle Suite? I notice all the photos are stock photos from the hotel. Was looking for some reviews and feedback on noise, privacy, etc

      Hi Brian
I stayed in a regular suite during my stay. This is a news item, not a review. At the end of the piece is a link to my profile on the property. The castle suite is in the heart of the family area, surrounded by family pools and restaurants. It’s not about peace and privacy, it’s about experiencing the ‘magic’ of the location.
