Two Michelin Stars
Andrew Fairlie restaurant is part of Gleneagles Hotel and is the only two Michelin star restaurant in Scotland. With a menu focusing on refined French classics with Scottish influence, emphasis is firmly on the quality of ingredients direct from Parisian markets and the supplied closed to the hotel. Options include the a la carte menu and degustation menu. The signature dish is smoked lobster with its intense smokiness coming from a twelve-hour infusion over whisky barrels.

Boath House, Nairn, Highlands
Adhering to ‘Slow Food’ movement, the Boat House restaurant uses largely local, artisan growers, breeders, producers and foragers, with the hotel’s kitchen also supplying much of the organic fruit, herbs and vegetables for the restaurant. A formers crofters cottage has become Ayrshires best restaurant, run by husband and wife duo, Keith and Nicola Braidwood. Both partners are “Master Chefs of Great Britain”. Isle of Eriska, near Oban, Argyll
Nothing is more romantic than the Isle of Eriska Hotel. Set in a country house on its own private island the hotel’s award winning restaurant offers picturesque views out across the Scottish countryside. The restaurant uses produce from the west coast of Scotland. Salad, herbs and mushrooms from the hotel gardens, jellies and chutneys made from Eriska’s own berries, fish from the local fishermen, meat from the local butcher and game from the surrounding estates. The restaurant offers a four course menu and specific dietary requirements is catered too.

Martin Wishart at Loch Lomond, Cameron House
Mrtin Wishart has created a fine dining experience in Cameron House Hotel, next to the banks of Loch Lomond. Awarded a Michelin Star in 2011 and has retained it ever since. The restaurant is elegant and stylish and uses food that is in season and is Scottish produced, such as such as Orkney hand dived scallops, creel caught langoustines and west coast brown crab. Dine against the dramatic backdrop of Loch and Ben Lomond, it doesn’t get much more Scottush than that.

Restaurant Martin Wishart, Edinburgh
Opened in 1999 and located in Edinburgh’s historic post of Leith a decade on the restaurant continues to bring tradiditional and modern cuisine to Edinburgh. Gaining its Michelin star in 2001 it still has it to this day, an accolade to the talent and quality of the menu and staff.

The Albannach, Sutherland, Highlands
First awarded its Michelin star in 2009 the Albannach has retained that award till this day. Located in one of the more remote parts of Scotland with mountain views from the dining room. The restaurant takes a farm to plate attitude to cooking with prime white fish and shellfish caught and landed in Ullapool. Organic vegetables and free-range eggs produced by local crofters a free-range farm in Morayshire supplies the beef and lamb, whilst game and barn-reared fowl, is wild and seasonal.

Under the ownership of Billy Boyter and family, this former smokehouse and cooperage won it’s Michelin Star in 2015. The restaurant is snug in size holding just 7 tables, food is light modern and polished with subtle modern influences. Prebooking is essential.
