Best Luxury Hotels In Ibiza
Sun-drenched Ibiza has become a byword for beach nightlife. However, underneath this visage exists a vibrant and historic UNESCO World Heritage Site. Situated within the rolling azure waves of the Mediterranean Sea, Ibiza boasts a balmy climate and unforgettable cuisine. It’s no wonder that a new generation of travellers are rediscovering the charms of the island. In response, a legion of luxury hoteliers are catering for the demand. Here are some of our favourite luxury hotels on the island!

Hyde Ibiza

Hyde Ibiza, born from the vibrant LA club scene, has opened its doors for its inaugural full season on the famed island of Ibiza, catering to music and art lovers with its eclectic lifestyle hotel ambience. Set in the scenic Cala Llonga Bay, the hotel features stunning views of turquoise waters, making it an ideal spot for enjoying both sunrises and moonrises. This 401-room bohemian retreat includes a variety of suites and room types that cater to different tastes and needs, from family-friendly accommodations to exclusive rockstar suites. The hotel offers easy access to Ibiza’s iconic superclubs and boasts amenities like three outdoor pools, and diverse dining experiences ranging from high-end to a more casual affair. Newly launched dining venues that span Hyde Ibiza and neighbouring Mondrian Ibiza, include the modern Japanese restaurant Niko and the beachside Sonrojo, offering Spanish cuisine against a backdrop of Balearic beats. Hyde Ibiza blends relaxation with vibrant entertainment, providing a quintessential Ibiza experience with luxurious rooms and a great choice of wellness activities.

Mondrian Ibiza

Mondrian Ibiza, the new design-led hotel in Cala Llonga, is now open for its first full season, offering a blend of luxury and culture in one of Ibiza’s picturesque landscapes. This 154-room hotel presents various room and suite types, each extremely stylish and reflecting the local raw materials and locality. Designed by Beades Architects and Cuarto Interior, the hotel also showcases art by London-based collective Gone Rogue and features large glass windows that integrate the surrounding nature. Mondrian’s dining scene has expanded with two new eateries: Niko, a Japanese restaurant blending Japanese and Mediterranean influences, and Sonrojo, a laid-back beachside spot offering Spanish cuisine. There are many different cultural activities and experiences onsite and nearby, making it a vibrant destination for both relaxation and exploration on the White Isle.

Ibiza Town, Ibiza
R&C Hotel Mirador de Dalt Vila Ibiza

While many flock to beachside resorts in Ibiza, the Hotel Mirador de Dalt Vila offers a very different perspective on the island. The 19th-century property is a former Lord’s manor house, tucked into the walled city of Dalt Vila, a Unesco World Heritage site. It was only recently transformed from a residential home into a hotel, with 12 guest rooms located in the main house and in an annex (book the former for original features such as beamed ceilings and wrought iron balconettes). The terrace provides stunning views over the harbour, there’s a fine dining intimate restaurant overlooking the plaza (all meals are served here) and an outdoor plunge pool to cool off in the Balearic heat.

Hotel La Torre del Canónigo

Follow the labyrinth-like streets upwards until you’re high above the UNESCO-listed city of Dalt Vila. Here you’ll find a collection of three 16th-century buildings, comprising secret passageways and old watchtowers, that make up the historic Hotel La Torre del Canónigo. On its grounds are a pool and solarium and the Corsair Restaurant & Terrace, set in a 10th-century building. Guest bedrooms are simple but very fashionable in terms of decor, sporting original features such as exposed stone walls and wooden beamed ceilings.

Sir Joan Hotel

With interiors akin to the kinds of superyachts that come and go from the adjacent marina, Sir Joan is a little alternative (by Ibizan standards) and very trendy. 38 rooms come with Bang & Olufsen speakers, Illy coffee machines, Balearic-sourced Ayurvedic essential oils and Dead Clean bath products. At the heart of the resort is a triangular saltwater pool; a challenge for lengths, but a triumph for Instagramming, a cocktail in the hand and designer sunnies on the head. Izakaya has a bohemian edge and serves Peruvian-Japanese fusion food, including sushi and Sakana small plates, while The Butcher restaurant does a mean Aberdeen Angus beef burger and serves drinks till well after sunrise.

The Standard, Ibiza

Book one of 53 bedrooms and suites here, including the anything-but-standard 14-bedroom Casa Privada, a private residence for you and your pals to plunge into a private pool and hot tub within your own courtyard, enjoy an exclusive in-suite treatment room and sleep serenely in a separate building from the rest of the rabble. In the main hotel, the leafy rooftop accommodates a 15-metre swimming pool, bar and eatery with Mexican dishes and Wagyu beef. And downstairs there’s the Jara bistro spilling onto Plaza Vara de Rey, with a DJ booth for a funky soundscape. From April to November the hotel is for adults only.

Palladium Hotel Cala Llonga – Adults Only

Nestled in the picturesque setting of Cala Llonga, Palladium Hotel Cala Llonga offers an exquisite adult-only retreat on Ibiza’s serene coastline. This all-inclusive haven boasts a prime beachfront location, enveloped by tree-covered cliffs and turquoise waters. The hotel features modern rooms with stunning sea views, some equipped with private Jacuzzis. Guests can indulge in an array of culinary delights at its international restaurant, enjoy cocktails at the two bars, and participate in varied entertainment programmes including live music and yoga classes. The hotel’s proximity to Ibiza Town and local attractions makes it an ideal spot for a relaxing yet adventurous getaway.

Amàre Beach Hotel Ibiza

Those seeking an adult-only ambience can book a room at the latest venture from Amàre (the previous one was in Marbella). Sant Josep de sa Talaia is perched on the beach at Bou Cove, where guests have direct access to a dock. The hotel has an airy, contemporary and barefoot luxury feel, with rattan hanging chairs in bedrooms, spaces designed to take full advantage of the aquamarine backdrop and wicker-furnished, lantern-lit al fresco terraces with glass balustrades. Private yoga, DJ sessions by the infinity pool, menus by Michelin-star chef Mauricio Giovanini and a beach club are all part of the lifestyle here.
